Where are the hikers? This is during the permit quota season. Something is amiss.
Great videos... I did the same loop this summer... enjoy the time together whenever you can👍
Awesome trail ,
A GOOD PAIR OF CLIMBING SHOES THAT GRIP ARE NEEDED.......WELL CARRY ON........
FREE. GLOVES.........NOT BAD.........
Thank you for sharing your adventure with us, looking forward to seeing the next one! It’s always a bummer when you can’t have a fire though.. happens to me every year when I go camping around September when there’s a burn ban on.. cheers
CHE ORRORE, NESSUNO CHE SEGHI VIA QUELL’OBBROBRIO?
Outstanding video. You can see just how hard that is by watching your partner. Much respect brother.
Sissy scramble assistors
❤
You should have went 1st so we dont have to stare at your friends butt the whole time lol
FYI it’s a 1,000 foot drop on either side of the cables lol. Been there done that.
What you’ve fallen 1000ft off the side before? That’s what your comment implies…
@@fatboynipMAYBE HE BUMP HIS HEAD SLIGHTLY.........
Beautiful scenery 👌 Thanks for the video
Hi! Do you remember the dates of your trip? I scored one permit for the core starting June 13. I’ve been trying to get an idea if I should plan to attempt doing the same itinerary as you guys or maybe just stay at colchuck for a couple nights. Did you use the snow shoes much or mainly just spikes/poles? Thanks:))
Sure, this was June 4-6. It was a fairly standard snow year. This year I believe is a bit below average for snow. The snowshoes were a fun idea but were pretty much useless since the snow was much too wet for 90% of the day. The spikes, however, were a must-have.
Such a lovely and exotic scenery my friend, so nicely put together!
Great adventure.
Wonderful music selections. Great adventure video. Thanks for sharing.
Daniel, you are so lucky to have a father who is willing to go on these adventures with you. And as for those grey clouds, well that is a part of being out in the wilderness. Gotta just take what comes and roll with the punches. Thats a part of what makes it an adventure. Be flexible and open to the weather conditions. Loved seeingyour video in part because we get to see a part of Yosemite that most people don't visit. Thanks for sharing.
Why didn't you have equipment to attach yourself to the cable? Many people have died . I didn't watch the rest of your video due to your lack of safety
K for Karen
Ive never seen it without lines of people. Amazing.
Safety kills, hikers. Never attached, be free
There have been 24 deaths on half dome cables. It is foolish to do without harness and 2 slings with carabiners...connected to cables at all times. Not using protection is disrespectful and not valuing the gift of life. IMO.
@@adamn389 I’m a free climber, I do not use ropes. It’s a choice
I was waiting to see the view!
That didn’t look that hard at all.,,,But then again,,,,,they never do on video.
@@freakyscumbagit’s not but it’s about 7/8 miles just to get to the dome. So you’re gassed by the time you even get to the cables.
Very cool, but I wish you would have looked back down at where you came from once at the top!
Great video, I really enjoyed it! The way you filmed and the music made it feel like an epic adventure. Pretty cool stuff, I hope to go there one day.
Too much fun! Loved this part of the adventure! Thanks for telling the story so well!
Stunning scenery guys, this trail is just amazing!
This was an amazing trip Daniel. Fantastic spots and wonderful shots. Great hike man
Suspense is killing us. What really happens?
Amazing views!
What brought you out here in 2013? :)
Peak 7 youth group backpacking trip!
LOTR. Classic.
That looks like a phenomenal experience! Music is hittin' too! I'll look forward to the full length feature film!
Looooove this, and thanks for all the “meal times” 😂❤
Love the reflection at the beginning of the video- WILD to think that was 3 years ago… and how much has changed since!
❤
Wow, this is the kind of content, keep me visiting youtube.
Wow. Dan, when did you do this, you really have a knack for these videos. It feels like a pbs nature doc. Aren’t you worried about getting lost when you go off trail?
In this case, I was never truly off trail, just off the main trail. In any case, I have a number of navigation tools. Most of all, however, in snow with good weather, I can always follow my own tracks back!
Let’s go back!
So pretty! Definitely have to go back with some snow shoes!
Tarn right you had a raucus adventure! So glad you were able to get to Gothic and soak your footintootins. Thanks for the tour!
How did you know where the lakes started? They seemed all snow covered
Who is Sir Richard?! Where was he?? And did the lost hikers find their Starbucks?! The world may never know...
Toad pick-up lines...one of many highlights of this video adventure.
Thanks for the vid!! will be doing this hopefully this year
Love the music on this video! Makes me feel like I’m on an adventure with you though the Shire!
Awesome views.
Love to see all those mountain chickens! They are my favorite part. <3
Glad the trecking poles made such a difference!
Some things are just as beautiful without words/commentary! Nicely done.
Gorgeous!
Salt lickers! Now I know they will come after my clothes, boots, any gear with sweat in the area. Real bad in Glacier NP
So beautiful!
