I mean I get it in terms of plants but it’s definitely a double edged sword for them since you know BOOSTED FIRE DAMAGE! But victreebel is just a discount venusaur more often than not, you can run swords dance and I might try that one day but not yet :/

@ChillLanturn Combine it with Oranguru for extra nuttiness. Oranguru gets both symbiosis and instruct. So a life orb on Guru will transfer over once a blunder policy is used up. If Inferno hits, then you can use Instruct to try again. If you're facing a trick room team, use after you and psychic terrain to stop priority. The final spot I would switch between foul play or Psychic Noise.

Oh Lord! I do wanna try VGC a lot more so I might stick this on the list for that style of team, someone mentioned a contrary memento team too but this is very thematic for the sandy shocks but it’s chi-yu which is known for being a nuke dealer!

It would but I wouldn’t get the speed boost since it’s 100% accurate and blunder policy activates when a move misses! Honestly that would be a sick set though :)

Also just realised I could run zap cannon AND electro ball! You could definitely try it, I didn’t even think of it at the time so let me know if it works better!

@@ChillLanturn Yeah that’s what I was thinking zap cannon into blunder policy then electro ball has it’s power increased massively.

Honestly the more I think about it the more I like it! Especially since everything you want to use an electric move on is slow like corv, moltres, primarina, skarmory, air balloon heatran/gholdengo … I wish I’d thought of that a few days ago 😂 I might just have to make another video on it in a month or so 🤔

@@ChillLanturn you would get the speed boost from zap cannon missing, and electro ball does more damage the faster you are compared to the oppoenent

I think you misunderstood.​@@ChillLanturnIt's the blunder policy + Electro Ball, it's a good strategy after missing zap cannon, because sandy shocks has the speed boost, Electro Ball calculate damage based on speed, not special attack though. You can try it out sometime!

I did misunderstand but I get it now 😁 instead of thunderbolt I could run electro ball instead so for corviknight, primarina I’d hit super hard! I think there’d be a trade off against things like iron valiant but that’s about all I can think of right now you know? But you’re right, I completely blanked on that!

I don’t usually but I am trying to move a little bit into VGC and try it out! I can definitely give that one a go, it seems pretty risky to sacrifice a Pokémon but I can do some science on it 😁

@@ChillLanturn with a fake out mon it actually gets value as the fake put mon comes at the end of the turn and the contrary mon becomes pretty strong, so you fake out counters and get kills. The best combo i've found is physical enamorus, whimsicott and incineroar, the other three are more coverage like archaludon (who really benefits of a mementoed foe), chien pao (who can lower the enemy's defense for enamorus to attack) and gholdengo or flutter mane (to stop fake out and deal damage)

Ok! I’ll start testing some stuff and if I get a mildly successful team I’ll make a video on it! And credit for you for suggesting the memento contrary to me!
