This channel shows a variety of homemade projects. The idea of making playable instruments from found objects and exploring building techniques is addictive. I also have a sawmill and enjoy milling my own lumber for furniture and of course guitars!

Gettin’ Buzzed (in slow-mo)
This bumble bee was everywhere last fall when I was winterizing the hottub at the cottage. Tried to get some slow motion action of the bee flying. I think it’s pretty cool to watch it bash around.

This is the east side of Estero blvd as of January 9th, 2024. Recovery is ongoing for sure but the scale of damage is formidable. Our home about 1.5 miles from here was destroyed completely. These videos aren’t meant to be sensational but serve as an update on rebuilding progress. Hope you enjoy!

Seeing you freeball the headstock end on the mangler, man, that was amazing.
That was scary!!! LOL
Fast Firewood Delivery™
Glad we got to see the geound there and not the tree falling!
I just uploaded the aftermath video of the tree on the deck! 😮
I feel a snake free world would be okay. However im not the one too decided
Didn’t expect to see a snake on a tree like that!
Video says chainsaw fail, all I see is cammera man fail lol
Camera man had one job! 🤪
Shit camera work
Thanks you for sharing this idea 💡 i move many log with this arch
This lifter is still working great! A stiffer crossbar would be the only change I’d make
Wow, what a lot of work, but the results are fantastic! The guitar sounds very Nice. Hard to believe this video has so few likes. Hope you are still making cookie tin guitars
Thanks a lot! I still make them once you start you can’t stop! lol latest finished build is a lap steel I love it!
Great! I bough a cheap Rogue lap steel (2 actually) and was gonna put two rolling benders on it….but only one fits at a time, so I can only have it as a b bender. I searched up and down for a video of what that would sound like cause everyone has a b and g on theirs, so now, I’m gonna make both into b benders, tune them differently, and basically I have a double neck lap.
Sounds like a plan to me! Go for it! I still haven’t added the 3rd string bender but when I do I’ll have a vid for all to see
you think grunge would sound nice on it?
Absolutely! It looks right for sure and keeps the spirit of those times 🤘
Cool!
Why in God's name are you trying to cut up complete trash "logs" like that on a contraption like that? Are you just chunking it for firewood or trying to square it off and make timbers out of it? It's SHIT. If you want to burn it - and that is the ONLY way to put it to good use and even THAT will probably be punky pukewood - get a freakimg chainsaw and chunk it like you have better things to do with your life than hand it to that shitshow of a "sawmill" and a "log" that should be quietly and safely decomposing and "giving back" to Mother Nature amd Father Time so they can fertilize a tree or two that aren't the proverbial Ugly Tree so often fallen from by females with "nice personalities" but horrible judgement when they choose arborism as a "career path". That there Ugly Tree MAY be the O.G. paterfamilias of all Ugly Trees. Look at the damn thing. SO MANY GIRLS FELL OUT 0F IT THEY EVENTUALLY KNOCKED OFF EVERY BRANCH ON THE WAY DOWN. You don't "harvest" a tree like that. You burn it in the field and let the ashes feed future generations.
You should check out our new Log Dolly!
P r o m o s m 😞
It's been a while since I heard this imovie banger
Haha! Right?!
Been lookin at lap steel builds and came across yours. Scared the hell out of me. Was sure there was going to be blood or that piece of ash shot back through your shop wall. You should either get rid of that table saw or learn to use it safely.
Never use a table saw without a fence or even a semblance of safety
Freehand cutting on a tablesaw should only be done...NEVER.
what the big deal ????????
turn the saw off duh
I would die
Shoulda seen the first tree I shook but didn’t record! 🤪
Cool build
Thanks! Lots more vids coming with this guitar soon! 🤘
You look like dave mustain
I’ll take it lol thanks!
wtf that was the worst out of tune playing from hell I've ever heard....
Thanks! It was probably the first time I used it. Always great to hear from the pros 😂😎
Chances of me standing near that thing? 0.000
Oh come on you an me could have some fun!
@@troyeckstein4337ya. I never go beyond jackassery level 75, knowingly. You, sir, have achieved level 100 😂
I can't imagine what losing your home does to you. At my age I'd feel shipwrecked. But by God's grace you and your wife are safe. Thanks for showing us mate.
Thanks Mark it was devastating really. When we went back every person you talk to there lost everything too. Their homes everything. I always wondered how people recover from something like that hurricane and it turns out you just do it! Rebuild and repair and get on with it. I was really impressed with the positive vibes locally. Everyone’s in the same boat!
Awesome! Sounds great! Here's my recent lap steel build, my first... th-cam.com/video/_4wT47G_hi0/w-d-xo.html
I work at a large sawmill, you need a GUARD on that saw!!!
Thanks you are right! I bought it with no guards. I am making some
his saw was nicknamed " Death Wish "
Great that you had your leg and pants near that belt drive which had no Guard. Most know better.
That's going to look well when it's all together. You will be showing us I hope?
Poop
That's it? That's the video? Are you kidding me? Why even post it?
Bad instruction video. No explanation of what you're using to refinish. You need to up your production quality.
Thanks for watching! I used Varathane water soluble
This guy shouldn't be allowed to own power tools
Thanks for watching! Great comment might be true 😂
I liked how he used that fence.
@@troyeckstein4337 This could have easily ended up on a gore website. I could barely watch you on that table saw.
Jesus that is scary stuff! You should be tailing a real headrig ( 3 bunk carriage and a 8 foot bandmill) when the bandsaw lets loose. You age real quick.
Next vid you’ll see some sort of guard over the wheels. Thanks for watching and the concern I appreciate both! 👍
well done ... I am inspired to try this also.... thanks.
Awesome! Make it! Not as tricky as one might think. The string only has to be pulled back like 1/4” at most. Lots of talk about breaking strings with benders- I literally just broke that string a few days ago. That strong has been on the guitar since I built it! Good luck!
That's impressive. Very cool.
Thanks!
I like it bro! Nice!
Thanks!
My names troy too. And i also build lap steels. However. Your bender ROCKS and inspired me to create my own....THANKS BROTHER!
Awesome!!! I’m so glad for you! I want to cut a hinge in half and try a double bender with it
should have mixed some stain into the glue before you applied the glue.
Thanks for watching yeah I should have! 👍
Definitely a lesson in there. Cheers mate.
Thanks Mark 😂 cheers!
precious powder
R.i.p his nose
Lucky for me I’m not allergic!
Pine tree pollen is edible n raises testosterone
Yeah cos its plant nut
Bro triggered my allergies through a screen
Sorry 😂
@@troyeckstein4337 lmao it’s fine
sounds great, nice job . gotta do one on mine too. thanks for the tips.
Thanks a lot!
Well however crude it works. Nice job making do with what you have.
Thanks for watching! It is pretty crude lol still loving it
The tree came
U dust your carpet and walk over it and call explosion.
Love the shirt man. Great idea on the bender.
I do like the sound of this thing. Have you looked into CBGitty for benders? I used 2 on my project and am pleased with them. Great video and from the work shop there might be a little hope for me. God bless.
