I got a bachelors in CS from WPI. Zero job networks. I couldnt find a job for 3 years and had to work at mcdonalds while I worked on various projects until I could make up for this terrible college.

I completely agree that BC is better. I took AB and got a 4, which gives me credit for Calculus 1 at my university. Now I’m trying to transfer majors and to do that I need to take Calculus 1 & 2 (its a single class) which I could’ve completely avoided if I had just taken BC in the first place.

back in my day, the kids complained because their math was to hard and they wanted to play. opposite world does produce the strangest things

not as big of a deal as you’d think, i took calc ab and now im a math major at cornell, w/ research in submission to journals on the path to a math phd. i don’t say this to brag, its just that if you really care there’s plenty you can self study and learn, and it’s no rush. the most important math skill (mathematical maturity) is missing about equally from both ap classes, and is better developed on your own if you’re in high school

It’s no race. I think BC can be a better decision because the AP test surprisingly isn’t much harder, but people learn at their own pace, or have other life circumstances such as extracurriculars. AB is a great program to help balance life and learning

Man my school didn't even offer any AP Calc... seems like everybody took BC and I'm struggling to catch up.

awesome video!!! hopefully you'll find success with your computer science degree at WPI, especially when the job market is oversaturated! it's okay if you didn't accept the AP CSA credit and didn't take AP Calculus BC, even though you lost many opportunities for AP credits/waivers. anyways, hopefully you succeed with your upcoming chess career as you have been a very hard worker and are determined to obtain the grandmaster title!
