Bladeless fans and their flows

Have you ever wondered how bladeless fans work? This is the video for you. Little to no previous knowledge required to understand what is being described although it would help if you already know what bladeless fans look like.

Is it possible to run fan in reverse and make it act as vacuum cleaner?

If this structure were outside and swiveled towards the wind, could the lower mount fan plus inducted air and also the entrained air produce enough energy so that a ducted air generator makes more electricity than the mount fan? Thinking of this as a small to medium device. Home or RV solutions. I'm thinking about the camping angle. Too much is about solar panels but hybrid electrical input should equalize weather changes and power needs.

Is it possible to make such fan in large size? say square share 4x4 feet?

The major problem with your presentation is the words bladeless fan, you and many others are trying to give a false impression. Click bait. Nothing in your presentation is remotely new or noteworthy all of this phenomena has been well understood for many years. You only have the most limited knowledge of fluid dynamics.

Aerofoil wings work by having a flatter underside which causes less acceleration of the air, not by tilting them. I'll go to someone who knows how it works for an explanation.

Thank you for explaining. This is by far the best explanation I have seen so far. Does the entrained airflow help with lowering the low pressure area? making the unducted airflow stronger?

Maybe, self propelled wind turbine blades , then you can combian centrificail force also

  • @davidandra2575

Are they using compressed air to start it up or injecting fuel like a jet engine for added thrust?

  • @davidandra2575

If it works In air, can I assume It will work in water? Basically a ram jet? Anybody ? Got any thoughts on that or how about applying it to a vertical windmill

Very interesting video. The bladeless fan multiplies the air quantity flow. For it to work well with an aircraft the air must be accelerated at the exit and not increased in pressure. although it would work ok with a slower flying aircraft. It would be interesting to see a comparison with a conventional electric ducted fan (EDF) showing power consumption and thrust between both bladeless and conventional fans.

Right? I mean the Dyson Fan exists for over a decade, yet I haven't really seen any of the technology in public, so there must be some huge flaw.

  • @tonyriordan2853

This information is partially incorrect. An aerofoil cannot be acimetric in design as it will create an equal amount of pressure to each surface resulting in no lift ie lift generated due to a high pressure area under the wing moving towards a low pressure area above the wing. Changing the angle of attack won't create lift.

Greetings ladies and gentlemen of this comment section. As a formula student racing car enthusiast. I was wondering if a blade less fan can effectively suck more air than a bladed fan ? We intend to use a fan on our upcoming competition car, but we’re not too sure whether the blade less far will work as well as a bladed fan. Thank you in advance

  • @mrMacGoover

What about the constant back pressure the compression fan has to fight to maintain and create, would that require a constant high amperage demand from the power supply? Wouldn't this be a major problem to overcome when trying to implement this into aircraft when weight is a major factor for battery system needed for sufficient flight time?

Hello . My Lord Boss and I invented a super revolutionary engine for any type of fuel, including synthetic methanol for negative CO2 emissions and HYDROGEN for ZERO emissions, obtaining much more efficiency than a current engine and greater than batteries and also fuel cells. fuel that are used with hydrogen and electric engines, a novel thermodynamic cycle with more than 75% efficiency, only two main moving parts, a power / weight ratio greater than 13 KW / Kilo, everything can be aluminum except main shaft and screws, uses no liquid coolant only air, uses very little lubricant that can be used from the center through the seals to lubricate everything, the speed of the seals or segments is 7 times less than in any engine, can be extrapolated to any power without losing any features, is under international PCT patent process. Very easy to manufacture 100% with current basic technology, all its main moving parts mounted on commercial bearings, the useful life is up to 30,000 hours with very low maintenance, almost zero and more than 70 additional advantages.... As an example: Motors of 60 kilos of 1000 Kw can be made very compact without useless space. th-cam.com/video/5WBoIzC0azY/w-d-xo.html

Shouldn’t the surface of the exit air be curved like a typical airfoil to increase lift?
