Great video, love how the train just disappears into the dark. Great location of Tilehurst.
Could this be done from Bath to Bristol via Mangotsfield?
Of course!!!
@@IainDavies-z2l lol
We but live in hope a 59 will go to Inverness some day.
You driving. 😂😂😂
An aerial view a while back - th-cam.com/video/FwmXzyHVT4M/w-d-xo.htmlsi=GcZ2Pf2tdqwUDFlu
@@johnavery15 just watched that. Very interesting.
Surely Eurostars go much faster than 395s.
@@richardmellish2371 there classed as European trains. Javelin doesn't go out of this country. I did say in the write up. Apart from eurostar trains. Thanks for watching.
Very atmospheric, looks like a scene from a James Bond film moving the nuclear bombs around.
The switcher that's not an 08 is an EMD SW1001, a popular locomotive in EMD's SW line of switchers. SW1001s, like the other SW series switchers are found switching industry, or found on shortline railroads
Bit of a feat to manage any kind of 'window hang' in this day and age, not like a decade ago, glad the waves wasn't over the wall, nothing worse than a cold random night wave.
@@sandpit72 secretly id love that. The window was broken. So stuck fone out. Not head. Lol
Is there a spelling error?
Amended Lol 😂
Great video mate 👍
Glad you enjoyed
Lovely mate, remember camping in the woods near here nearly a decade ago (no sleep with all the freights coming thru in the small hours).
Nice catch and thanks for sharing. Dave
Well done😊
Verry good
Hi robin it is little luke you need more vidos😊
So cute
😊
Verry good robin i love how you are into your trains
Isn't it a bit wrong to have all the wagons attacked by graffiti artists?
You would thinks so. Thank you for watching. Hope you enjoyed
Great video though.
I though you would be doing dog tricks with Tinks!!!
Superb thanks Robin
Like you, I never visited the S&D, though we must have crossed somewhere along its length when driving to holidays in Cornwall during the 1950's. But like yourself I developed an overwhelming interest after visiting Midford with friends who lived outside Bath, and then reading the books of Ivo Peters and many others, and watching his videos. I never visited Midsomer Norton, though passed through Radstock in its current guise on a cycle tour with cycling pals a few decades ago. Thank you for taking the trouble to make your video. There's a picture in R.C.Riley's colour album of the S & D of the lower slopes of the ascent from Radstock after crossing the GWR bridge, showing colliery waste heaps on the right hand side of the climb, which shows that S&D passengers might not have enjoyed a panorama of Midsomer Norton until further on up the line. Best Wishes, Hugh Rainbird.
Nice sharing Robin!
Very nice!!
Thank you
Wow electrifying, enough power there to run a few electric trains for some time!!!
😂
True dedication
Thank you
It's great to see a model railway video without any drivel talked over it and any stupid introductions.
Thank you for watching
Great video mate
Hence why it's called "Weston - super-Mud!!!

another scoop cheers Robin

Yep
Great to see up close and at a much slower speed than usual Thanks Robin.

I've got about 300 photos of the underside of this viaduct, and a brake van ride recorded in terrible quality on my channel. Thank you for filming this dude. Where have all the trains gone?
Not sure. I wasn't born when this line was opened. I only remember Meldon Quarry with 33s 37s. 😆
Not been to the Quarry for years, was full of trains a decade ago.
Not no more. Lol
looks stunning see you in there Robin
6C03 return working is 6A03
😆 typo error. I can never remember which way round it is. Thanks for watching tho. Take care
Very nice indeed sir they have done it up nicely how much for a pint and we will have to pop in next time woooohoooo 😃

Nice video. great walk. Thanks for sharing. Dave
Enjoying these thanks Robin.
Anytime. Thanks for watching
There was a little dog called Tinks, who is on another trip but thinks, I would rather be at home, eating a bone, rather than being on these railway hijinks.
😆 🤣
I wanna go there one,it's apiece of paradise.
Looks like great fun sir 😊
It was. 😆 🤣 😂
Looks as you're having fun there, but I would rather waltz with Matilda!!!
😄😄😄😄😄
Great to see the correct way trains are shunted and remarshalled. Bang on Robin.
Yippee 🙌 🥳 👏 that the 3 car class 165102 is currently wearing the GWR - Great Western Railway 🚃 dark green 🟩 livery and has GWR - Great Western Railway 🚃 interior. Very nice 👍 👌 😊 train 🚊 🚆 🚂. 👍
Nice day for it thanks Robin.
Any time!
It was a great day. I think the only criticism from my perspective was that if you wanted the guest locos that tied you into kiddy to Bewdley to some extent and made it harder to enjoy the full line.
Glad you said that. I wanted to bash the 59. But was only going 1 stop up line, and I couldn't justify the price of a all day ticket for ten mins on a 59
