Sorry for the “8 years later” nature of this comment. Jedi is the most disturbing and horrifying Star Wars film by quite a margin I think. The bit where C3P0 is worshipped by the Ewoks- in that scene it’s clear the Ewoks are getting ready to eat the rebel alliance. They also have clothes that fit Leia- and from the size difference those aren’t Ewok clothes. So they’ve clearly eaten people before. Then at the end of the movie where the Ewoks and Rebels are having that big party we see one Ewok play a set of drums made of Stormtrooper helmets, they seem to have no prisoners and everyone in the rebel alliance is eating Mystery Meat prepared for them by the Ewoks. Say what you will about the Empire and the Sith, but they don’t eat their enemies.
I guess Sam hasn't watched "Only fools and Horses". There was a running joke in later series about Del-Boy's son Damien being the anti-Christ.
COKE swirl!? I was not prepared for this cinema swerve 😮
love a good spooky swirl, made even better now in video!
If Horror Author Kevin is the rare figure, then Shaved Head Kevin is the Green Kane
I really thought Sam would guess the child's name to be Theo Man

Sory for commenting about this ten years after the podcast was released! Kefin mentions wanting a toy AT-AT as a kid. Well I had one, but it wasn't all it's cracked up to be. We also had a dog, who was only slightly bigger than the AT-AT. When I took it out the box on Christmas morning, and rested my hand on the AT-AT's back- well the dog wasn't having that. She shoved the AT-At out of the way, got between me and it and started growling at the toy. After that, the AT-AT had to go live in the attic for it's own safety.
"...the sauce."
What a payoff!
Aw so sweet!
The reveal!
My god, I haven't heard or thought of the name Raab Himself in years
It insists upon itself
Unlike the ethical, angelic children in the rest of the world, American children are self centered. They fear getting in trouble, so hide their misdeeds, even at the expense of others. I caught the end of this scene, where the teacher is trying to make them feel guilty, and Ralphie's voice over says "Kids know it's always better to not be caught". That resonated so beautifully with me that I made note of what the movie was, then waited for it to come on again so that I could watch it from the beginning. Thanks to your pointing out how cruel and pathetic much of this movie is, and how evil anyone would have to be to laugh at this, I feel truly ashamed for this being a favorite movie of mine. Fortunately I got over it as quickly as Ralphie got over his 'guilt' for leaving his friend stuck to the pole. FYI, there was a hole in the pole, and a tube was hooked up so that when he put his tongue on it, suction from the tube held it there.
Only real issue with Godfather Pt 2 is the actor playing Clemenza passed away so the character was replaced by Frank Pentangeli. If Clemenza is both the guy introducing Vito to crime and the guy testifying against Michael, it's much more full circle.
This was based off comic series THE CROW by James O Barr who lost his fiancée in a tragic car accident involving a drunk driver on her way to pick him up from work. He poured everything he was feeling into an unmatched masterpiece of art. Barr’s talent obviously did not go unnoticed and this is where this movie comes in 1994 with main character played by Bruce Lee’s only son BRANDON LEE, which would’ve made his career as an established actor like his father but sadly cut short. The devastating accident happened toward the end of the film while shooting FUNBOY’s apartment scene then the young future of JOHN WICK series fills in for the rest of the movie with Brandon’s face placement & voice after they got permission from Brandon’s RL fiancee despite the set being cursed as they say.
9:35 First of all, the RUST accident was not his fault at all, Alec was being used for whatever reason by the prob handler as a scapegoat from what I’ve learned of observation she obviously had some kind of grudge or issue between the director and/or him; which lead her to try framing Alec.
I know this was a month ago and your right the so called NEW CROW 2024 is complete TRASH. It’s not even worth the watch, the original is a unmatched classic that needs NO REMAKE.
Been listening since the wrestler crossover with AEpodcast so cool to see you branching into video too
So it's interesting as a American (idk if they do the same in the uk) I equate this movie with Thanksgiving because in November they run the godfather movies on AMC over and over again. Would have though this movie be the episode in two months
The fun of cinema swirl is I can never be truly sure even after all these years what Sam will think of the Film
I love this podcast and both of you as hosts
From now on getting to second or third base in a graveyard will henceforth be known as "GOING BOWLING"
Why does kevin look like a younger version of dan schneider on the amanda show!?¡!.?¡!?
ONLY in the scenes where he plays an old man getting prank phone called by an amanda character where he's barely recognizable
I feel so bad now because I love kevin and the hours he's made me laugh across all hi podcast and I feel so bad conparing him to such a monster but atleast its when he was in character i guess
One of the Ravens was named Magic.
I think, in the same way that "The Goonies" doesn't really work if you don't see it as a kid, I'm not sure this movie works as well if you don't see it when you're in your teens or 20s. Cause then the horrible tragedy of it feels so much less "real" than watching it when you're a more fully formed person with empathy. Cause there's DEFINITELY an inescapable sadness to watching it these days, but I've seen it so many times already, I'm a bit inoculated to it. I do love the video format! Fire it up, indeed.
Truly it has been a Dazzling Robert of a decade.
After listening to Kefin for over a decade in podcasts it’s odd seeing his face talking
Love the new video format! I feel like I laughed a significant amount more due to being able to see facial expressions on my TV than the previous 10 years of just listening on my iPad/Phone, which already brought plenty of laughs out of me. Especially enjoyed Kefin’s comparisons between Eric and Sting throughout, I type as I’m looking over at my Eric Draven and Sting statues, AND I have a Robert Smith Funko POP on my shelf so this episode truly felt made for me. 😅
Fire it up, score a goal!
But I am literally looking for a new house right now 😞
Ahoy, it's Michaelwhowrites here, maybe you can buy Tiffins on the Park and set it up as the Cinema Swirl Theme Restaurant and Casino
Ooooh the video episodes are such a treat! Thank you guys! I've been listening since I was in high school and I wished for video episodes back in those days 😭
Kefin's expression just no selling Sam busting out the Pepsi Max 😄
That cold open 😂 this is also making me realize these video editions are happening more often, I respect and appreciate that, fellas! ❤
Sam's right about that blue stuff, I tried it and was hoping someone else would agree it's rank
It's dreadful! 🤢
Been listening since episode one and been a patreon supporter since that's been available. Love the podcast and thank you both 🎉
Sam “I’m all about quantity, not quality” Chaplin Happy anniversary fellas!

Happy 10th guys! Been listening since Episode 9: The Wrestler
As someone who was listening from the beginning this is a great video. Happy 10 years to my favourite film podcast
120 years...you haven't aged a day
Love that there’s an edit right after “why don’t you release an unedited version?” and Sam does a near spit take. Happy 10 years, lads!
Happy anniversary, guys!
Always a joy whenever you guys release content! I can't believe it's been 120 years! Here's to many more
