A nice mix of books for sure. I love physical books but am a avid audiobook user too. I have earbuds in most of the day while the kids are at school while I doing my work at home..work work or folding laundry or cooking g supper or whatever. I love middle grade books 😊they're usually more fun to me than adult and YA. I'm looking for some new reads for the spooky season and winter

2 audio books, 1 online rewrite of a popular book, 4 paperback books, 1 hardcover. Only 2 of these are non fiction lol, but i just have ADHD and cant finish things regularly 😅 i start reading them all and then finish them all in a couple days when theyre all almost done

You are not alone. I have different books for different activities. I have my auto book for when I’m knitting, my book for hiking/long runs and my going to sleep/ de-stressing book. If I want to know what happens in these stories I have to do the correlating activity 😊

The memoir I'm writing has multiple tropes: "memoir to uncover a big family secret," "memoir on learning family languages," "memoir on becoming an activist" (based on big family secret), memoir on finding belonging, Asian American identity, connectedness, etc. and realizing I can just do a quick search of those themes is super helpful, thank you! I'm always scared my book won't fit into a marketing lane but it's got a ton of lanes built in that are very important and only I can tell, so thank you ❤️

So I finally finish my writing. I get it to a publisher. They love it. They wanna publish it. So they ask me what books are like it? They didn't read it? Are they the books experts of the two of us? Wouldn't they know better what book would it be like? Could I say, I don't read other people's books. Only read my own works *snooty laugh*? Would they not publish it? Harsh

How broad can this be? Like I'd think Harry Potter, star wars, Obama's biography, do androids dream of electric sheep, knight of the black rose, and the Bible. All just like my book. And if they ask how the answer is 'I used the same 26 letters that they did'?
