มุมมอง 512 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
The first one on “PROBING” is musings on: - moving from doing to examining - with an intent to understanding well from uncovering to understanding - fostered by mindsets & habits to test deeply & rapidly.
On Perturbation
มุมมอง 114 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
In this week’s musings I muse on “Perturbations”: (a) how disturbances are key to analyse order (b) the various dimensions of perturbation (c) symbiotic nature of perturbation between system & tester (d) test & re-test as external & internal disturbances (e) the tipping point, a glorious moment.
On Methods

The third one on “METHODS” is musings on: - the many facets of problem solving in QA context - role of philosophy, culture, mindset, model - where does model, method, framework fit in - how do principles, techniques, tools, templates help

The second one on “HABITS” is musings on: - habits key for high performance? - analogy from sports - cerebral habits make you smart, physical ones make you fit - what key habits to 'think deeply & do SmartQA' - how to build these cerebral habits
On Journey & Experience
วันที่ผ่านมา
“A journey needs to be painless so that one’s experience is priceless”. In this webcast I muse about my recent bitter digital experiences, outlining thoughts what may have gone horribly wrong in the building of such software such as: - poor direction, can find where to go, how to do - confusing signs, unclear instructions of what to do - difficult cutoffs, making it very hard to do - bad route,...
Expectations from Modern QE-on Mindset & Capabilities
มุมมอง 7วันที่ผ่านมา
As we end the year it is a great time to reflect and plan for new year on career growth. The expectations from a modern Quality Engineer (QE) are multidimensional spanning mindset, skills in tech, test, business domains, human aspects, the practice of work and finally outcomes/value. The first of 2-part webcast muses on a wide spectrum of mindset, attitude and capabilities/skills expected.
Dogs Fishes & Stains
วันที่ผ่านมา
An interesting anthology of three stories that leads to smart assurance. (1) The DOG story - a tale of parasites and the challenge of de-ticking. (2) The FISHERMAN story - a tale of survival, the challenge of daily catch. (3) The story of STAINING - a tale of colouring to solve the challenge of seeing the invisible.
Assuring rapidly- what does it take?
มุมมอง 1114 วันที่ผ่านมา
Is ‘speeding up doing’ the way to assuring rapidly? Seems so as the vast majority are resorting to automation to accomplish this. Is it about rapidly assuring that the basic health of system is not compromised by changes i.e. re-test or check or is it wholesome quality? Is it about doing more or accomplishing more in the given time? This SmartQA Musings outlines how to ‘do less and accomplish m...
High Performance QA- Power:Weight
มุมมอง 514 วันที่ผ่านมา
Technology & Automation is seen as key to boosting speed of testing/QA. It is absolutely the right step but not necessarily not enough. As a cyclist I understand the importance of ‘power to weight ratio’ of generating more power and also reduce weight to enhance performance. This SmartQA Musings uses power to weight ratio to illustrate how-to ‘be faster, better, lesser & not do’ for high perfor...

Smart Probes vs Test Cases
มุมมอง 12หลายเดือนก่อน
We think of testing as an act driven by test cases. Is that good enough? What if we viewed it as act of probing to understand well and in the process uncover issues? A deep shift in mindset this is. In this SmartQA Musings we take a deep look at : - What is the outcome of this shift? - How Smart Probes is a superset of test cases & - How it goes beyond, to observe, understand, experiment & also...
Probing & Prompting
มุมมอง 242 หลายเดือนก่อน
The HyBIST approach to SmartQA is about designing smart probes & probing smartly whilst the Gen AI approach is based on intelligent prompting. So, how are probing & prompting related? Are they complementary? How is human intelligence augmented by AI? This SmartQA Musings is an interesting conversation between Ashok & Rangarajan.
on Fitness & Software

Wonderful! Recently, I had the opportunity to go through these accessibility aspects and the related standards and I realize how much there is a need to change/improve all the web sites/applications and mobile apps to make them truly accessible to all. There is lot to be done in this field!
