I got this snowman for my birthday. Issues: snapped boot (left side) split hat arm (8 tooth) he also has a split ten tooth in his spinning arm but I haven’t replaced it since it still works. This was the one I took the lights off to put on my two song. Hopefully in the future i will find a pair that fully works. The top light is burnt out.

Got this guy on ebay for $25 about a year ago and never got to uploading him. He needed belt replacements all ten tooth gears. I also had to rewire his adapter and batteries since it was super corroded.

I recently replaced the wires on my 2 song as well. The snowflakes light up great and it spins way better than it did with the old wire.

It's more uncommon than rare. The box is kind of rare to find. But you can find these pop up on Ebay quite a bit.
Can you show the box? I want to confirm whether or not it's the rare '04 model.
This is a 2003 I believe because it does not have the box you showed with the 2004. I will post the pic on my community page right now.
Did you ever figure out the whole pitch mod thing i pitch modded a 2002 blue vest and it worked great until today i turned it high pitch and the sound got distorted so i unplugged it turned it to the middle point and it wasnt distorted anymore. Do you know why?
I have done this on a 2004 blue vest, and it seems to work fine, but when I use a 6-volt adapter on it. the audio distorts. But when I use it on batteries it doesn't distort. I wonder if it has something to do with it being used with the adapter. Thats all I could think of. My knowledge on pitch modding is limited to a video explaining how to pitch mod. Maybe you can try to use it on batteries to see if it still distorts. Maybe someone else has more knowledge on this kind of stuff, but I haven't done much board work and the work I've done is only soldering wires back. Hope you can get it figured out! If I find more info on it, I will update you.

Uhh why is the audio shorter
Because it has a demo mode which would have been played while it was in the box it came with (I don't have the box) They only came in half boxes after 2005 and so they were given short demos of what they did.

The hips on mine make that squeaky kind of sound too. Even after completely cleaning and regreasing the mech, and installing a new gear, the sound still remains in mine.
I think the gearbox might be different or something like that because after 2003 they would sound like that My snow women has that sound too plus my 2004 frosty (I haven't posted a vid of him yet, but I found him at a goodwill for $12) I will post a vid of him soon.
