As of November 2024, it looks like 116 is still insisting on remaining in service, while poor 118 seems to have been moved off to the back yard of Ruby Junction next to one 216 (the one that smacked into a streetcar) and one of their more evidently problematic type 6's (i can't remember the number)

Railroad Crossings on 185th @ Baseline Intersections is no longer going to work. It is a Busy Street & Max is a Frequently Service. We definitely need a Light Rail Bridge. It screws up that Traffic Patterns is no good at all. Construction on Grade Separation is expected in March 2025. Very Dangerous Intersections cause the Time Travels is not good at all. Some Stations the Entire Hillsboro will need to be replaced to Shuttle Buses. Approximately One to Two Years. We will make the Intersection Safety the Better.

I thought All Type 1s are going to be Permanently Discontinued. Guess not they’ll keep some of it.

9:38 I've been on this route a couple times (although never on an electric bus), and I found it odd that when C-TRAN updated their stop announcements about 2 years ago, they didn't update that particular announcement. Since then, I've found text-to-speech websites that produce the voice used for C-TRAN's stop announcements, and for some reason, if you type "Approaching Highway 99 and Ross Street", there's a short pause in the middle. Additionally, although slightly unrelated, the stop announcement for the southbound stop in that area (which by the way uses the new voice and just says that the stop is at Ross Street) mentions that it's the "last stop on Highway 99".

Why is there a rail diesel car service from Beaverton to Wilsonville? That's the most logical railway to convert to an extension of the Red Line. I watched a Trains Are Awesome* video on it and nobody rides it. If there was frequent light rail transit supported by denser development people would use it. *Or Miles in Transit, or Classy Whale

At least I went there, when I don’t work on that day. I stood on that Platform listening to a Better Red Extension. I watched 185th Traffic, We are Correct, it is a Bad Intersection. Accidents don’t happen very often, but the Time is not good at all.

I was hoping to see the type 6s in service after coming home from Canada. I don't hate the type 1s, but I do really want to see the type 6s in service.

We are excited for a Red Line Extension is finally open to the public.

Not for Very Long, cause 185th @ Baseline is a Dangerous Intersection, that needs to be Grade Separated Bridges. We heard that Construction will happen in March 2025.

They should have extended the red line to North Plains Oregon.

Not only is bus service pretty much the thing hybrids were built for with all of the stopping/starting, but if (crosses fingers) Trimet ever embraces or at least experiments with trolleybusses it will be easier to retrofit these to work on wires then conventional diesel busses while unlike pure battery busses we don't need any charging infrastructure when we haven't built wires yet. On the one hand I think Trimet should replace all busses with hybrids when they break down but on the other when they supposedly plan to go all electric by 2040 (I swear it was 2030 at one point) and don't plan on putting up wires I can see why buying hybrids rather then battery busses would be counter-productive.
