@@seuck1870 thank you! I’m pretty certain it is Dave Zabriskie, but IPDB doesn’t credit a composer. If somebody knows for certain it’s him, however, I’ll change the description. Regardless of who did the audio, I agree it’s freaking fantastic. You never see this game either, and it’s generally very unpopular. However, it’s definitely up there for best System 80B sound

@@jonathanhey9991 by the way, you did a really great job with this OST, along with just making some killer game audio overall (really love the audio in Transporter, Demo Man, Jack*Bot and Earthshaker in particular, along with the sounds you did on BOP and FunHouse being great). You’ve some really excellent work, and I’m glad you’ve been able to have such an impact on pinball audio as you have.

@@OnlyCalebs3DEmporium I think they are both pretty good games. Both kind of boil down to hitting one shot over and over again (space shuttle with the spinner, and space station with the right ramp). However, they both look and play well overall, and Space Station sounds amazing. Space Shuttle also has pretty innovative sound for the time, and was the first game to use the System 9 board set.

Thank you for those corrections. Admittedly, I did fix the spelling of “Psycho” for the chapters, but I have no clue what I was thinking when editing the video. I just fixed the chapters for “Werewolf Countdown” and “Robbing the Crypt” because of this comment, though. Thank you!

I’m glad you like it! I love this game too: the rules are simple, yet a lot of fun coupled with a unique layout as well. Music, lighting, and art really tops it all off

Technically, Marcel Gonzalez made a version that is, in some ways, superior to this (better mixed, lots of in game and stock sound effects added in), but I didn’t want to steal his work (though I admit that I was lazy and did this for my Big Guns upload). However, this is currently the only TH-cam video/only other way to view the soundtrack. I really appreciate that you enjoy the soundtrack overall, along with its availability. Will probably do a piano cover of the main theme at some point as well (or at least come up with sheet music for it, as I saw that somebody requested sheet music on that video).

It’s a fun table for sure. My main complaint is really just the shallowness of the rules (can get pretty repetitive), but otherwise I find the game to be a lot of fun. Glad you’ve had a lot of fun with it! Interesting to hear about the alt naming.

Is indeed fun, but gets dull really quick. It really needed a multiball mode. Even a 2-ball multiball would have been fine.

For sure: it definitely has a lot of his general stylings and tropes in general, down to how the jackpot collected theme doubles as the high score theme (like in many of his games)

Thank you for pointing that out. Admittedly, @CBZ VHS told me. I fixed it in the chapters/sections of the video, but the actual video itself still reflects the confusion I had trying to figure out what the track was.

​@@pieman240this pin is so underrated, it was Georg Gomez' first ever pinball design for Bally/Williams/Midway. Wish Zen would get the Corvette License to digitize this pin. There are some solid Visual Pinball Tables but i wouldn't mind having it in Pinball FX aswell.

@@Frapskillar fully agreed there: such an amazing first venture into pinball design. The game itself flows so incredibly well, and it’s a shame that it’s generally pretty obscure despite the relatively high production run and recognizable theme.

@joelggundam my cousins and I all played the machine until it quit working. There was nobody around locally that could repair the thing so it ended up getting scrapped for parts.

Aw man, that’s a sad way to have to let go of a machine. Especially sucks, as the game is super rare and is pretty fun IMO

@pieman240 I know! I was so upset that it got scrapped, and we couldn't get it repaired. I loved that machine.

I looked into this: the samples are slightly different, but are both turn table/record scratch sound effects. As far as I’m aware, it’s not the same exact SFX or source, but I could be wrong.

Admittedly, it’s because a couple of distributors really, really didn’t like the original main theme, and refused to buy the game unless they composed a new one. Therefore, they made the European one. Personally, I think it still sounds pretty good, though less iconic for sure, but to each their own.

@@pieman240 Hmmm. I own one of these and mine appears to have been originally sold in the German market (the warning labels are all in German and the ROM in operator mode refers to a German language pack) but then reimplanted here into the UK. It has the "normal" main theme.

@@RJRC_105 huh! That’s odd. I’m pretty confident that I extracted that theme from the German ROM available online. Maybe they made one that still keeps the original theme though?

@@pieman240 I may have to have a look in the operator settings again. It's European Level 3, date 31 May 1990. Reference to Install German in the settings but all those are "no."

Absolutely! That's one I've wanted to do for a while, but was debating on actually doing it or not. Thank you for the reminder! I'll probably get around to it in the next month or so. I'll see if I can get both the US and EU Main Themes in the upload too (personally, I like both, one just has 200% more Rock-Rock-Rockin' Rollergames in it).

Totally! Paul Heitsch did a great job on the game. Just some really incredible work all around, and he in particular doesn’t get the same recognition some of the more well known composers (like Chris Granner, Dan Forden, or Brian Schmidt) get, but has many works that are equally well made

I think his work is pretty good but this one is a stand out! He captured the Popeye feel of the music perfectly in this game. My favorite song in this is the multiball theme because it feels very chaotic and zainy which defines the old Popeye cartoons. Good stuff.
