A pleasant but pointless way to risk a drone at low tide. Would be somewhat harder a few hours later at high tide with a significsntly reduced gap!, but I'm not game to do that despite the rather stable flight characteristics of the Yuneec Q500
Triumph Speedmaster filmed by a CGO2+

I strapped my Yuneec CGO2 mounted on the steadygrip to the side of my motorbike and took it for a spin! It's an interesting result - great image stabilisation and not bad sound either considering I was travelling at up to 80kmh. It's unusual to see the bike leaning and the horizon stable. Most bike videos are taken with the camera hard mounted to the bike or rider.

Watch this incredible lap record being set at the Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit, home to the legendary V8 Supercars Bathurst 1000 race. An Incredible start to the 2015 season!
Great idea just made a couple. Going to try adding a bit of white rabbit fur (from a zonker strip) underneath the foam as an experiment.
Go for it! It's been tied with a red tag too, that worked quite well as a floating freshwater attractor.
tying with foam from a Memory Foam Pillow - works for The ide or orfe in my local river.

Yes, it will sit high on the surface. You can strip it too, the esturine mullet around me seem to be attracted by some movement. Works in the surf too.

Depends on the day, sometimes they need a little encouragement with bread to get them on the chew, other times not. Always worth packing a loaf!

It's a little trial and error. Tie in white and colour with marker-pen accordingly
Do you fish it still or moving?
It was designed to work still, but in reality the mullet will chase it down - I found this when pulling it back from the mouths of smaller fish to avoid a hook-up!
Lovely tie, I’m going to try it for carp in our local pond.
Hope it works for you! I've had some success with size 16 flies on Gar in freshwater so it does seem to be an all-round attractor. My next plan is to try it in brown for pellet raised fish.
At the start of 2016 I was fishing here and a drone flew over my head and I'm suspicious now.

How did you get it to record the sound?
I filmed this before the firmware update that muted the camera. For a smart company, that was a dumb thing to do!

David Allen then you have an overseas model..UK S5,s DON'T do 5.8Ghz.. they are 2.4 and 5Ghz only..

Hi, I have a Dual-Band wifi on my mobile phone yet it won't see the camera network. anyone have the same problem? any solution?
The Camera becomes a 5.4Ghz wireless access point. Troubleshoot it by making sure your phone can see a 5.4 ghz router and a dual band laptop can see the camera.
***** I'm a bit puzzled here, it works fine on my Ipad2, but the Xperia Z3 can't see the AP. I did contact HorizonHobby about this an they did confirm it should work with the Z3. I suspect this might be a channel issue anyone know what channel the cgo1 AP operates on? I bought mine from the US but HH Uk site sells it too could there be a difference between them? Can you change its setting through the browser interface?
No WIFI device is truly suitable for FPV. Any lag at all, fraction of a second or otherwise can be bad bad news with obstacles. I have this camera, it works great, but the app is really for framing your shot, not for flying FPV. Get a proper FPV UHF setup if you want to fly FPV not not be more or less assured of crashing your quadcopter :P
Guys If your phone doesn't support dual band WiFi this wont work for you. The camera uses Wifi from the 5Ghz band.. It is in the manual and on the front of the box. The old phones are not going to work.

Thanks mate. I'm sitting in a camp site at the end of the runway of the RAAF's largest military airfield - If I loft the Quad here, Its likely that the resultant heat seeking missile will take out the 350QX, me, and the Winnebago!!!
What's the android app called?
I have this camera and I get a New one to, I can`t Connect to my Samsung S4 an Tab3 all have android 4.4. I tok the camera With me to a Device store and try. They turn on the wifi on the Devices and Tabs, no of the Samsungs find the wifi, the same as HTC. Iphone and Ipad find it and some of the Sonys find it. I think the camera need a update but get no answered from yuneec, they only send me to HH, but no answered from them too.
Good day sit first of all I can't see my cgo1 with my Samsung? On wifi. How dit you manage to connect? En secondly I'm trying to find the default username and password for the Web interface for the CGO1. So then I can try and stream it on laptop with vlc. Can then put omnidirectional WiFi gain Booster and pic it up for at least 12th away. But I can't get any info from the company on that. The software it uses is Texas instruments. If you link to it with laptop WiFi and put the camera ip adress in the Web browser you will get what I'm saying.

Awesome stuff it's weird cos I use Samsung s5 aswell. Well if I can get the username and password from them for the interface I can see what the stream tipe and port is. Then I can open the stream on Vlc media player. If you want to try, connect with your pc to the CGO1. Open cmd and check the iP adress of the gateway(CGO1) then take that ip adress and put it into your browser. You will be asked for user name and password. That's what I need. Normally they have a default username and password like with a rooter. But I can't find it anywhere on the net.
Joe Roux Well that's very odd. The s5 should have no problem seeing it. I found a useful tool on google play called 'A Wifi Network Switcher Widget " that lets you easily switch to the CGO1 network and dump whatever your current connection is. Give it a try and see if it can see it. Thanks for the IP tip, I'll give it a go. I guess you have tried admin/admin and admin/password :)
***** an update I got info from yuneec they say that there is no default username or password and that it must be on a silver sticker on the camera itself and if I lost it by any means I should phone horizon for a new one. OK so I asked the question under Q&A on the horizon website under the 350QX 2 ap RTF model. Let's see what they say. Yup I have tried that. User Admin password all combinations.
And an update! My Razr died on me so I bought a Samsung Galaxy S5 and it flies with almost zero lag. Fantastic fun to fly in FPV with this device. I am told the Apple 5 is great too.
I came here to ask this exact question! I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and was thinking about the CG01, but worried about lag. I guess I don't have to worry now!
