I agree on this people get caught up on what they see on social media and are focused on the 1% but not the process of their development, most expect results in a short amount of time but won’t see results because they can’t stay committed to the process.
Summer is meant for baseball if you want to play. Spring, winter, and fall are meant for whatever else you want to do, especially as a teenager.
FYI I'm not saying just sitting on a couch and do nothing you need to work different muscles. (Both physically and mentally)
Love you Fred 😂😂

It's sad Highschool baseball destroys kids, Last two years of the fall season I decided I wasn't going to let my son fall victim to these Highschool coaches Ego's they don't give a shit only about there feeder teams they are running outside of the actual Highschool team. We now use the fall to get real training and workout!
I like
Great interview!
I’m 80 and so much of what you’re saying is very true. Improper “coaching” destroys a lot of young kid’s arm for the sake of winning the next game (no matter the cost!)…but, to realize the real reason all you need to do is “follow the money trail”, guys! When you put that $$$ carrot stick out there, both coaches & young athletes want to imitate their MLB superstars who just so happens to have signed a million dollar contract with a $250k signing bonus (just out of HS) or …or $500m/6yr contract, etc. These are life-changing propositions that most kids have no ability to handle…being “coached” in high school by men who want to be known for developing more players for college recruiters than anyone else on the planet. The seed is planted that MONEY is everything….”go for the gold” mentality. Thus, in many unplanned cases the “love of just playing a game” has been totally overlooked and it has become “all about the money”…IMHO. I’m not saying 100% of all coaches (in all HS sports actually) are guilty of this, but I believe you’d be amazed at how high the number is IF it was actually known. And while I’m at it…Football is even worse! You’ve got HS teams now not even wearing knee pads & cutting the pants off ABOVE the knee!!?…and wondering why there are so many season-ending injuries…one after the other? C’mon man! A team can be losing 40-0 in the last 2mins and you’ve got a bunch of guys doing a choreographed end zone dance because one of ‘em just intercepted a pass!!?? And you see 8-10 yr old Little Leaguers doing the same things! It’s a sad case, brothers….but I applaud your efforts to bring these points up. Unfortunately, the die is cast…but maybe, just maybe there are some men out there who will pay attention and save a few of these kids BEFORE the next level of sharks prey upon them with cash in their pockets! God bless you, my friends.
We appreciate you taking the time to write this! Yes. It starts with one coach at a time. GOD BLESS
my 12U goal. Middle School Team 7th grade. 14U Goal High School Team. 18U goal? Education and Back-up plan.
Big problem with JC/CC is no strength coach no baseball trainer.
Calvert Hall High School in Maryland does this to their pitchers. It's a bunch of old men that are the coaches there and they have that old school mentality to ride their best pitchers into the ground. Multiple arm injuries across the board there. Sadly alot of these kids there are D1 caliber pitchers but by the time college comes around alot of those kids arms are cooked.
That is very unfortunate. That is just another of many reasons why it is imperative to find a team to back you like AOP does to help navigate those difficult years.
You guys say you don’t know why HS have baseball in October? For the school my son goes to, they have the incoming freshman playing with a select few upper class men.
It is more the approach and don't forget exceptions do not disprove the rule! That is great for your son.
That’s my trainer @silver
I can see silvers palms sweating from here
As a 13 years old boy im impressed hes already throwing 68 in 10 wow its almost dead straight
So how long should they rest between seasons? And what kind of training do they do during the off season?
It really depends on circumstances. There are many different factors to take into account. Rule of thumb would be post season a 1-3 week de load is always good. Once that's completed a return to throw build up program. Thank you for watching!
Train on your son's best attributes as they say Hitting will keep you in the lineup period, You need an actual program, find the right place and the science is now key don't trust the coaches who don't use the new technology because they are just guessing trust me I learned the hard way
Never misses
Professionals giving professional advice. So much knowledge out of these two, it’d be a crime not to listen and learn from them
Grew up in Upland and Rialto! I'ma a Dodgers fan but I love seeing this dude do his thing. Gotta represent the I.E. ... I see Joe Kelly in Rancho

He does not all that fast that is cap
Save his arm and work on the techniques. No need for speed at that age. Great arm though 👍 save it until hes fully grown.
When Fred says “Arnold” he’s really talkin about me

Faaacts! Great stuff coach! So many ppl think they do “everything” Are you really doing everything? Or did you go out after the football game knowing you have a saturday morning work out? Oh ok so youve done a few things ….
