Drunken Fiddles
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 13 ก.พ. 2015
Welcome to Drunken Fiddles practice video library where you can play along to popular (and not-so-popular) fiddle tunes at a slower-than-normal pace.
Looking for lessons? Check out Drunken Fiddles Online where you can have access to hundreds of lessons to learn online, anytime in the comfort of your own home. We have had hundreds go through our program with positive things to say about it. We'd love for you to check it out. www.drunkenfiddles.com
The lessons include tune instruction, sheet music with fingerings and string names (so, no need to learn how to read music), and practice videos of various speeds.
All tunes are taught for both fiddle and cello by Laurel and Sascha of the Wires String Duo.
We have a course for Absolute Beginners and then you can venture off into learning fiddle tunes, separated into a variety of categories such as Celtic, Old Time, Bluegrass, Nordic, Romany and more!

Tuesdays with Gilbert: Episode 2
มุมมอง 4914 วันที่ผ่านมา
In this episode my dad describes why he decided to jump on an accelerating train after fiddle class at age 65 (this happened when I first started Drunken Fiddles). We were just waiting for a train to pass while we took some students to an after class party...and dad just starts running towards a moving train and hops on! This is our conversation years later after it happened. Dad plays guitar f...

How to play with a metronome
มุมมอง 239หลายเดือนก่อน
A metronome is a powerful practice tool...if you know how to use it. In this video I explain how to get started with quarter note and 8th note rhythms. This video was a bonus in my "Need for Speed" online workshop. If you'd like to learn how to play faster with me teaching 4 techniques over the course of 4 weeks then please sign up for Fiddle Life Online school where you will get access to this...
Walking in the Air from the Snowman - fiddle
มุมมอง 213หลายเดือนก่อน
I recruited Benjamin Parks (www.benjaminparks.info) to play the chords along with one of my favorite pieces of Christmas music. I think this would work for any time of year though! If you haven't seen the animated film "The Snowman" then make sure you add that to your Holiday movie list - it's a truly beautiful film. This is a practice video for my students in my in person classes based out of ...

The dubliners
Lovely playing. Great tune.
Di ladnie😊🎉
That was a very useful breakdown of common Irish musical styles. Thank you! Now I'm interested to learn more about the deviation of bluegrass from traditional celtic music.
Excellent explanation , thank you 🙏
Love Kansas and it's great to see the legacy of music continued.

Informative lesson! ❤ 😊
just remember your wife's birthday and your gold ...
truth!
When you get older, every day is about the same. Since there are fewer "high points" and "low points" it is harder to remember things. In a college class, it was said older people only remember things they consider important. He said older people have fewer friends, but are closer to their friends. Friends are "significant others".
I am lucky to know a lot of elders who have curious, exciting lives.... It's inspiring! (and I don't think age has anything to do with dad not knowing the months... lol)
Hermoso❤
😊
I like your accents ❤
years ago , i tried to listen to all of his songs - it was not disappointing - eternal music
