Ransom Introduces Brahms' Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op 98
Outstanding preformance! I love this! I remember this story as many of you do. I was a kid in Ms. Robinson's second grade class in 1971.❤❤❤
Great performance! My grandparents used to read me this story whenever I stayed the night at their house. This makes me really happy. Thank you!
❤❤❤
The part where the little bird was teasing and harassing the wolf reminds me of how mockingbirds used to fly down trying to "dive-bomb" my cats as they ran through the field between my neighbor's front yard and mine. Also my neighbor had a flock of chickens and some ducks who used to come over and chase my cats. 😀
At the end the bird says "look what WE have caught", taking undue credit for catching the wolf! 😀
I wonder if this story is symbolic of socioeconomic classes and political issues?
Talented musicians! I can remember listening to this as a child. 🥰
I learn that at school 🏫 And it is so good 😊 thank you so much
Thank you Russia for one of the greatest gifts I have ever received. Thank you prokovief. This is a gift I remember from my childhood. I'm 56 but I remember being in class when I was 6 listening to radio time when we we would listen to many classical stories. But this was always my favourite. Each instrument is exactly how I imagined each carachter. So Thank you Russia. Come homexxx
I love the video, thank you. I do have a comment about your guide, page 12 you have a picture of a flute next to the word clarinet and in page 13 a snare drum next to timpani:)
4:40 I was always confused that this insult the bird made to the duck. Because I thought ducks could fly. Is it like this specific duck can’t fly?
Probably. If it was a domestic duck, especially a larger type, it might've been flightless. That she was inside the yard and got to the meadow only after Peter left the gate open suggests this.
I was looking for the canon I heard in 1970. The canon should reach a crescendo and most leave you desiring something you can’t quite name. But you did one of the best I have heard. I commend you for bringing forth what was meant to be

I am 67 years old and when I was a girl in the 1960s , my Dad introduced me to “Peter and the Wolf” to teach me about musical instruments and how they sound. He even took me to a concert of “Peter and the Wolf”. That is a beautiful memory with my Dad of my childhood. Now, I introduced “Peter and the Wolf” to my 3 years old grandson , he recognizes the music.
sucks, it boring and annoying 👎👎👎👎 (Joking)
An INCREDIBLE performance and resource for my elementary students. Bravi tutti!
I just came here to say the same thing! What a fantastic version for kiddos!
Magnifique
Excellent!
19:52 is timpani section
This is beautiful ❤️😍 just as I remember as a child ❤️😊
I absolutely love this! May I please leave my narrated version linked? th-cam.com/video/IHxWTRi9f10/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_wVH7N3Hrj9Ph3r8
This is the best melding of the characters and musicians I've ever seen. Between 17:50 and 19:00 I would have liked to see some depiction the wolf's wild jumping, but that's a minor quibble about your impressive achievement. Thank you!
Absolutely wonderful. Thank you👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️
Beautifully done! Excellent for young students. Thank you!
Whos here from beam
Thank you for this great performance! I especially love it for my students because it shows the animation AND the musicians. Today, one of my students, upon seeing the musicians exclaimed, "Wait! The music is real?!" You have brought much joy to dozens of children in the NYC metropolitan area!
I like the violin playing that actually made my parents go to sleep 🛌 ❤😂😊
Yo That Duck Jumped Out Of The Water And Run Over The Wolf Looking Scared
I teach Peter and the Wolf to my 2nd grade general music students every year. I just discovered this brilliantly produced recording. I appreciate the juxtaposition of the orchestra and the animation. My students love to be able to identify the instruments not only aurally but also visually. The beautiful animation helps them relate to the story without overshadowing the music. Than you for this wonderful addition to my curriculum! Bravo!
I remember hearing this in 2nd grade as well, and I went to 2nd grade in 1975.
My toddler loves this video and asks to watch Peter and the wolf on my phone all the time. Thanks for making this!
I truly have psd from it
thank you :)
This work by the Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev is one of the best and most brilliant pieces of music ever composed. I listened to this so much when I was a child now 50 and more years ago and it remains just as enthralling and a pleasure to listen to now as it was then. It is just a shame that a nation that has produced so many outstanding composers like Prokofiev is also the nation led by Vladimir Putin.
Brings back fond memory's. My mother was self educated. A pianist and avid reader. I grew up with this
That is some pretty warped thinking you got there. Maybe you should go see a therapist about your black and white thinking and failure to compartmentalism and separate different subjects and things isolated in a different set time. Maybe it makes sense to blame all of a skin color for events that occurs in history, if you are a racist, but applying shame and stigma to a concept due to random present persons or events goes beyond even what your woke religion dictates.
Sergei Prokofiev was born in Ukraine. His father has roots from Ukrainian Kozak`s generation.
You should learn about Russian history. It has always had dictators without any Constitutional rights such as freedom of speech. So Putin is the norm.

He bares his soul here
Great to hear some lesser known Mozart.
