    • @BogdanFlorea-oo7xs
      @BogdanFlorea-oo7xs 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The timer is set on the Delay's output connection, meaning the resource will sit in the Delay for x steps. If you were thinking about a visible countdown for the resource that sits in the delay, this is a feature request already on our Roadmap! I will note down your mention of this too so that it gets upped in priority. We appreciate the feedback!

  • @dedemastra1799
    @dedemastra1799 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Yeah, this is why I'm so curious about the title that you use. I always confused on how to simulate player's behaviour to try and balance something in machination. Turns out, it really isn't the way machination is used for. To me, it seems like this method can only simulate 'the ideal' players' with 'ideal decision'. While, like you said, the majority of players wouldn't play that perfectly, or even notice the type of tower that is most suited to be used. Thus, it really is better to just stop the 'balancing method' way early. Stop thinking to incorporating level and coins/option that the players may have (micro decision) at any given moments. And just try to adjust the stage, its reward, and its challenge level according to what experience we want to give (macro decision). This is to lift up the burden of thinking every possible action the player may have, while ensuring the 'floor' will always be reachable (via new tower or amount of rewards). Obviously, this complexity can ramp up massively with any addition to the table, but creating a 'definite design stage' will always be easier to balance. As 'definite design stage' still applicable to infinite waves type of stage (by creating 'an invisible wave' with a few 'alternative wave design' for each wave). I obeserve this kind of balancing from the early games of Arknights, thought it might be interesting to simulate it in Machination, and thought a method like in this video, but always had doubts about it. Glad I didn't try it out myself and finally (finally after such a long time) found this video. Thanks! Seriously, I didn't try to be mean, but it is very helpful to know how exactly a cool tools like Machination works, and the fact that I can stop clinging to this idea of having 'easy way' to balance something.

    I have loved playing JJ for about 4 years now but they are adding too many things to the game that ordinary people with family and jobs ect.. just can't keep up with. Our group is thinking about quitting because they added a mystery game during the final week of the Detective League which is the hardest week to try to reach Sherlock level. It causes us to have to choose which one we want to compete in but we can't do both because we have to use all of our saved diamonds or buy more which with inflation the way it is now, most of us can't afford it. I know that is how Wooga makes money but they have taken the fun of the game for a lot of us. I know I'm ready to quit

    • @renel7303
      @renel7303 ปีที่แล้ว

      Susan, I think that's the point. They are trying to offer something that will appeal to each of us so we do have to pick and choose. My club is middle of the road so we finish at Ace every time. Fine with me, fine with the rest. I only do the mystery thing every other time, or every third. I love Secrets. That was a good addition. You just have to remember it's only a game. Don't let it take over your life.

    • @susandarnell4524
      @susandarnell4524 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@renel7303 Good point. Thank you. We usually finish with ACE but it's just so discouraging when we are so close to Sherlock and then the mystery game shows up and we really like playing it too. Just disappointing that we have to give up Sherlock to play it. Sadly I have Macular Degeneration in my eyes that have taken a turn for the worse in the past couple of months which is starting to limit my time playing. I'm really going to miss the game but most of all, the people in my club whom of coarse I have never met but, seem like family. Keep playing and enjoying the way it should be. Thanks again for your awesome input....
