When a musician does a string of shows ie a tour you normally negotiate a rate per show for a tour but when it’s a one off performance(wedding, birthday, company holiday events) you get paid more because it’s specific and requires time & effort to get to, set up and accommodate everything to make sure the performance goes smoothly as opposed to a tour that has its costs spread over a string of shows cos effectively.

This was an objective take on the issue which means I was highlighting both sides… you are skipping the points and focused more on your feelings the truth often rattles and you are showing it… St John fits the 3rd option of mature artist mentioned, he’s backed by Kareem Biggs Jay Z’s man that’s a massive plus, so your point is irrelevant I agreed before you disagreed…..when I mentioned team I specifically referred to them as “initial “ & “immediate” teams not the professional type you speak on again irrelevant. You spoke on merch buyers, yes of course every artist sis able to sell merch but I can assure you the gap between children & young adult investment in artists is ten fold! Parents & adults Spend more on kids fandom than adults do on themselves research it (I have) there’s no comparison I mentioned and gave kudos to X factor etc for creating a category on their platforms to include the aged and ageing artists like yourself so why do you think that this is an attack on yourself and demographic?

@@gametold the point is, it's possible for artists 27-40 to make it in the industry. Your video gives off the vibe that its not and thats not true. I already named a bunch of artists. Heres some more, Maino, Moneyman, Rittz, Benny the butcher, conway the machine, westside gunn, Freddie Gibbs all got signed over 30. If you have a buzz, labels sign whatever is poppin. I personally messaged the artist Clever about this and he said its not true if you prove to be lucrative they will sign you. He got his first deal at 32. Anyway, im not gonna argue with you, i just think your video is really close minded and lacks sufficient research

@@gametold you also know labels prefer to sign younger artists because they're easier to manipulate right? A&r's will lie to you because they don't want to expose themselves and the primary source the industry makes money but that is why. No music listeners are gonna say "yoo turn that one dudes music on its so firee, wait hes 32? Turn that off!" The fans DONT CARE. If its dope, its dope. The naive, new to music 18 yr old is more likely to sign bad deals out of excitement and lack of industry knowledge that will benefit the label immensely and leave the artist with crums. An artist in their late 20's to early 30's is smarter and is going to read the contracts way more carefully. They have more experience with money, business etc. a young eager kid is gonna sign a crappy deal fast. Paying old executives well, while he just signed away his rights and trapped in a bad deal for years. An older artist isn't going to fall for that. Older artists haven't been proven to sell less or connect less with kids in their 20's. Again i named a bunch of artists that are older than their fanbase, were introduced to their fanbase at an older age and are doing great, selling shows, merch etc. The industry just wants who it can manipulate and thats the young dumb 18 year old who has $5 in his bank account and is eager to sign that deal.
