First aired as part of the Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition and Bassoon Symposium in January 2021, this short video provides a glimpse into the bassoon and contrabassoon manufacturing process at Fox Products in South Whitley, IN.
I'm very curious to see how these compare to a newer Heckel, a Bell, Walter, Yamaha and the other makers who make professional instruments play. Fox is known for its consistency but hearing this bassoon was developed separately from other models makes me curious.

They are generally considered student and intermediate instruments, though a few A-list orchestra principals have endorsed them and play them.

Glad to see that Fox has begun a TH-cam channel. I remember, a long time ago, Fox produced a series of videos that followed the manufacturing processes of its instruments. Perhaps you would consider producing an up-to-date version for those interested in how Fox makes it horns? I'd love to see that.
