How does it not cut a rift everytime it cuts something, if he can cut through air to travel through time and space then why when he cut the helmet didnt it also cut a rift ?!?!?!?!

I’m sorry but at what point did Metatron become the big bad of the story? I thought it was the authority? I understand what everyone is saying, about the Authority being trapped by Metatron, Metatron becoming the true leader. Etc… but.. HUH?!? The authority was the villain, why did we get this epic introduction to the authority at the beginning of season 3, just for him to be replaced by Metatron off-screen? Surely everyone else must have wondered what happened to him? Like Asriel, Marisa, the other angels. Like that’s a big plot hole for me, like it can be explained but it requires so much thought and mental gymnastics from the viewer for what was a very watchable series leading up to this point. Not disappointed in the whole show, just think they fumbled incredibly bad there as they had the chance to fix the story if this was an adaptation. That what I’d do personally. But I do understand if there is a deeper meaning, one that requires a bit of thought.
