We all have different body types and reasons for reoccurring bv issues!!! There's no one way to cure every single person. Abusing my body as a guinea pig experiment was not an option for me. After careful reflection, experimenting thru the process of elimination and paying very close attention to detail with my exes and their sexual practices, preferences, and history....I've diagnosed myself after having chronic bv over a 10-12 yr span and only fully recovering and being back to normal ( no smell-no discharge-no funny color-no irritation) once I eliminated certain sexual partners. Realizing I never had this issue until I slept unprotected with certain people!!! Men who slept with multiple partners unprotected ( whether before our relationship or during---by cheating ) and those women having bv or some sorta of sti ( and not being treated for it ) causes ph balances to be disrupted with the current partner. I was experiencing bv ( with my partner wearing a condom or unprotected ) and him performing oral. It took months after treatment to get back to normal. I had to just stop having sex, period with this person all together. It was the same with my ex-husband. He lied and swore he wasn't cheating, but he was having unprotected sex with several women outside the marriage. Most men never go to the doctor unless there's a serious issue in that area. We, as women, sometimes have the most symptoms, and so we get treated, but the man does not. A mans microbiome in the penal area can throw off a women's ph balance, especially if he's sleeping with multiple partners who also have bv and those bacteria get transferred to other partners.
