The Blazers ~ Beaver Patrol (1963)
มุมมอง 13K9 ปีที่แล้ว
The Blazers were a brief-lived Fullerton, California surf group. Their “Bangalore” was the second of two excellent instrumental surf 45s, their first, 1963’s “Beaver Patrol,” was banned, according to legend, from local radio airplay due to its title’s innuendo.
TRVE PRVE MUSIC! ALL TIME ONE OF THE BEST
oh my god i am 37 and i love this, awesome
Northern California and Southern California might as well be two different states! 😢😮😢😮
great LP which we have on the shelves.Rog.Pacific Sunset( LA).
Now a moment of silence for people still looking for this genre of music
I have this album as well
"Aloha Oe, you stink like poi..." That's all I remember.
This is the best of the “oldies” surf rock ones
Surf's Up, Sam-I-Am
Thank you for the post! Top of the wave ....decent sound ...thanks again !
Fantastic indeed!!! For a great hard Rocking Surf Tune. This song is awesome as well as Cool.
This the first that I have heard of them or this tune. It's good though and typical of surf music from that era.
Southern California was a much different place back then.
Nowadays this would be a song about those candy Wax Lips. Wax Lips patrol.
"You Can't Sit Down"!
Legend has it they changed it from Bikini Patrol to Beaver Patrol when one of the guys found a bikini bottom floating in the surf. LOL.
LBPV brought me here.
Es la.misma escena con la misma trama pero en otra pelicula, no recuerdo el nombre pero me gustaria saberlo
Just found this, November 2021, in the side bar of a Surfrajettes track. Great stuff!
Thank you very much.
Having record this album in 1962, it's fun listening to these old songs from 59 years ago. Jeff Lear Bass "The Centurions"
Surfer PJ Party a timeless classic. Much love
@@IFleshWork Thanks for your vote! I still listen to our old songs... ... still going on, 60 years later, Jeff Lear, Bass Centurions
Jeff, thanks so much for all the awesome music. I've always loved how prominently your bass was recorded. Unlike a lot of the stuff back then, your bass lines are very easy to follow and the music is better for it. You laid down some great stuff. When are you getting the band back together??
You are such an inspiration! Being a bass player in a surf band myself, I just love how your bass sounds... Just one question. Did you played in a lower tuning? To me The Centurions sound is one in a million, no other band sounds like The Centurions... I was also not aware of this version of Bullwinkle as it is different then on the recordings I have. (the Pulp Fiction soundtrack and Bullwinkle Pt. II allbum have different versions? )
te amo jeff, gracias por la musica, aguante los centurians!
Interesting that they did a cover version of The Beach Boys Surfin' song.
Emily looks too old to be a teen. Kinda bugs me a bit.
They're all too old to play teens, it's hollywood. Lol
2:09 "Exotic" = "Lavander jungle"? So good.
Great movie!
Amo esta pelicula
AMAZING MOVIE 🔝❤️
!!!
Love The Centurians
Love you too
Thanks
@@jeffreylear7594 did you record with them
@@Jelly_Juice2006 That's for sure... 1959-1967. Look at band credits from Surf War... we had other albums...
One of the best American movies ever!
Harr poons
Your mom knocked my teeth out
holy hell "Ray Bay" is insane! Badass intro and then the crazy agressive guitar wow probably my favourite Centurions songs next to Bullwinkle
Thanks for the appreciation. We were in our teens when this was recorded. Jeff Lear, Bass The Centurions
Thanks, keep the vibe alive... only 3 of us left, Pat Gagabin, Ernie Furrow, and me Jeffrey Lear
Keep the Vibe Alive... Jeff Lear, Bass Centurions
May whoever thumbed this down get eaten by a shark.
i think im hearing 3 interpretations of bullwinkles at 8:48, 13:00 and 18:04, but my ears could be wrong. i love each and every single track in this album, but the ones that stand out the most are exotic, shake and stomp (or surf beat) & pipeline.
There are 2 versions of Bullwinkle... one on Surf War and the other on Surfers Pajama party ...
One of the great instrumentals from back in the day.
bad ass lead arrangement
I LOVE THIS CD !
Great album!! Thanks!
I love ALL of the Surf instrumentals from the early-mid 1960's ALWAYS HAVE and I ALWAYS WILL and I LOVE this whole album !
Keep it goin' Darin... Not many of us are still alive, Jeff Lear Bass The Centurions
@@jeffreylear7594 WOW!!!!, just saw your bands name on a vintage flyer from a book I’m reading titled, Southern California Surf Music. The flyer is from 1963 as was titled Surf Battle that took place in 1963 in Santa Monica. It was promoted by KFWB, and you were the bass player, this is awesome!!!!
I am a big music fan of 1950's and 60's Rock and Roll and early 1960's Surf rock instrumentals and I ALWAYS have and I ALWAYS will ! I love this cd ALOT ! ;-)
Keep the Vibe Alive. Jeff Lear, Bass, Centurions
If you love surf music this is a rare diamond. Thank you.

I have this on vinyl, not in the greatest condition but I'm glad I own it. It's nice to have in the background while I paint.
