      @@TheAverageTourist we did a short canoe trip down the river, the water has a weak current so it’s easy for paddling but that also means lots of still water so it’s pretty murky and lots of seaweed lol. Nice little trek into the Canyon, and great job filming it. A little hiking tip: Get out of the boots and into VivoBareFoot Primus Trail FG. You'll love having your feet feel light and free, your toes being able to move and splay out for grip and balance, and your ankles being free to flex and move. And at the Canyon, less is more, so keep the packs small, like what ultra runners use. It's so much nicer.👍

    • @austinado16
      @austinado16 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ChrisandCourt If you get the Vivos, give yourselves some time to transition into them. Modern shoes isolate the foot, causing atrophy, because the foot is prevented from functioning sort of like a hand. So all the muscularity, connective tissues, and the arch structure, become weak. All of it will strengthen, but be patient. It takes a while, and you'll be sore. Wear 'em for a while around the house, and work your way up to wearing them all day, doing errands in them, etc., and then work your way into going for walks in them, and then hikes, and then longer hikes. In a few months, and especially after a year, you'll be amazed at how much stronger you are as hikers, how much more balance you have, and how you sort of seek out rugged terrain, because you have feet and shoes that seem to crave it. Once your feet regain real function, you'll actually hate the feel of the hiking shoes and hiking boots. They'll feel cramped, heavy, and clunky, and you'll feel them pitch your feet and your body around when you walk on trail.
