I don't now about all that stuff but, I grew up in Detroit in the late 60's & I remember him with the Frost. I remember him with Alice Cooper. I rememberer loving his guitar work from the very beginning. I Remember if Dick Wagner was involved, I listen to it. My favorite is still Mystery Man.

My cousins were friends with him and his family

He was from Saginaw Michigan.

I remember him with Dick Wagner and the Frost back in around 1969-1970. Loved his song Sweet Lady Love.

His work in Lou Reed's Coney Island Baby 1976 is from another planet.

Peter C Cavanaugh, Dave West, Mr. Goodbar John Smith, and me went to the 'Remember the Child' event with the Saginaw Symphony. It was Dick's premier of the music, and because we were his friends and admirers we let him roll with the event, not distracting him from the newness of the endeavor. It was great to see our friend perform and soak in the accolades for the thrust of his work. Those others have gone to Glory now, but my memories are fond for their lives and times. Dick's songwriting clinics were inspirational too, as were those early days performances when we younger guys could sit right down front. Thanks Dick Wagner, thanks for it all.

One of my lifelong favorite guitarists, so huge an influence through the mid 70's Cooper stuff it just cant be measured in any real sense, he's just in my DNA. Rest in peace, friend.

One of my all time favourite guitarists. He had such a distinctive sound, like all the greats do. His playing would often bring tears to my eyes when he played ballads, but his rocking sound was just as stirring. A truly unique and brilliant talent. From the look of this lovely tribute he was a beautiful soul too. R.I.P Dick Wagner.

The GREAT Mark Farner!!! I LOVE that man’s singin’ voice!!!! And his guitarwork is WORLDCLASS!!! A consummate entertainer, his stage presence is SECOND TO NONE!! Farner’s got music flowing thru his veins! His red blood cells are no doubt shaped like little music notes! And undergirding and overarching all of that, Mark Farner is the most down-to-earth, non-arrogant famous person on God’s green earth - a forgiving, kind & caring person who is a friend & brother to all. Love and friendship to Brother Mark from Arkansas! At age 64 now, I’ve been singing along with Mark and his songs since 1974 when I was 15 years old. That’s 1 year shy of HALF A CENTURY!
