So many cool plants !

I can relate. I’m sure I have over 100 house plants. When I started propagating , my thoughts were how happy it’d be to give away the new plants to friends/family. Unfortunately, none of my friends/family appreciate nor care for house plants. So, I’m torn with giving away a well loved and nurtured houseplant to certain death, or keeping it in my already crowded space. 😊

Hi, Nick! Thanks for sharing your plant parent struggles! I myself have recently paired my collection from 60 houseplants down to 25. You're totally right, plants CAN become a burden, so I decided to only keep the plants that I absolutely love and to learn more about them, in order to better appreciate what I already have. Incidentally, your plant architecture videos have helped in that regard! 💕 I would love to see at some point one on the Platycerium or on the Dracena reflexa, if you feel like it. Good luck with your channel and with your plant collection! ☺

I saved 2000l of rain water this winter......it might not be enough for spring and summer 😂😂

Like any addiction, it needs to be controlled, then eliminated. Or it takes over your life and eventually it will make you miserable. When I realized I had 50 plants of various sizes I needed to stop what I was doing. I was inviting almost any sick plant at the big box stores into my ICU. I was going to save it. Poor thing. Sometimes it worked. Sometimes not. I had all these little pots sitting on little plates with little buds, leaves, trying to breath. I put them in clean airy soil, I watered them gently, I picked off the dead leaves. They were taking over my life. I was NOT interested in propagation. Why make more plants when there was no room. I have them hanging from the ceiling of pulleys. I can't put them in big Chinese jars since my girl kitty thinks that's her salad. So eventually I told myself when a plant just won't grow, refuses to LIVE...let it die. So now I have 28 healthy growing plants. No more little babies trying to gasp. I have two Dubias that are not doing well. I've played with these two for over a year. I'm done. When they really die, they are going into the big black trash can behind the house. Watering takes a lot of time I don't have. I have a music career playing in two orchestras. I love to paint downstairs in my paint studio. I can't stop doing my hobbies for the sake of plants. The addiction is over. I am in control now. I have my hobbies OTHER THAN plants. Enough. oh wait....the COST of all that potting soil, orchard bark, worm castings, coco coa, vermiculite, and pots pots pots......enough. Good luck to you!

Even with all the chaos-fighting for space, constant watering, and the endless propagation stations-I honestly love each and every one of my plants (well, most of them, lol). 🌿💕 It’s not always easy, but the joy they bring makes it all worth it. I hope you can relate to this plant parent struggle! Let me know if your leafy babies ever take over your life too! 😄🌱

Espírito Santo, Brazil, is also the name of the state where the plant is from 😉 But yes, it does mean something like holy grail, Holy Spirit, Saint, etc.

I need el choco red. But i got the philodendron majestic and the other two, The spiritus sancti and the patriciae. Love them and it’s nice to see them in their younger form ❤

Beautiful video. Aesthetics are so important for our mental health! For my mix, I use a mixture of lava rocks, pumice, and leca (a "parfait") in glass containers with no drainage, just keep a good level of water in the mix.
