    Thx for the video...I have had 2 other 300 TDI s I currently have a 96 Disco in mint condition I have adjusted my fuel pump and runs and idles smooth. I think your pump settings are too rich Did you rotate the pin 180 ? That will cause a rough idle Cant beat a 300 TDI great engine cheers

    I dont know why your motor shakes so much. My 300tdi in my defender runs alot quieter and I can balance an egg on my motor while it's running

    Your video conveys the misery of front floor removal and the surprises of Land Rover rust very well! Mine was not as bad as yours but still needed doing, just put the floor and gearbox tunnel back in....

    So which head gasket did you go with that eventually worked to fix your problems and what was the presenting problem that alerted you that the head gasket was problematic. On Mine it had a new head when I got it - since it suffered a heater hose failure. I too am in Qld, but run coolant to get the the boil temp up. Still no matter what I do I still tend to get occasionally something that wants to pressurize the expansion tank. Usually when running the air con. Just done new radiator - which is now aluminium. So I've done just about everything to it except the head. So new aluminium expansion tank. New water pump. New thermo fan - new pipes. new bearing for thermo fan. Have not done P gasket.

    Why not use the proper hub spanner , rather than potentially damage the nut for future use?

    • @SAMSHFUL1
      @SAMSHFUL1 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      A proper hub nut spanner would be far better! Sadly I don't have one!
