    How about telling the neighbor to lower his music!!! Vietnam veterans have many issues and sound is one major issue!!! I truly believe his neighbor was doing it on purpose to get a rise out of him because he is an old man. Friggin a hole!!!

  • @MrMoggyman

    Judge Simpson was correct. This gentleman served two tours in Vietnam. He has earned the right to walk down his own driveway, and his wife is completely devoted to him. However, his illness compels him to become agitated and combative when he encounters noise, and so he simply needs close supervision to keep off the neighbors driveway. But if he is not agitated and causing anyone any problem why shouldn't he be allowed to walk along his own driveway? Judge Simpson has compassion and empathy for a veteran with an illness and his devoted wife. This situation is not impossible, and a solution can be found that satisfies both parties.

    • @vickimaccallum
      @vickimaccallum หลายเดือนก่อน

      So I could be wrong, but what happens sometimes is that it’s not one court holding him (e.g 14B Magistrate Braley) but the other is. So he could be getting a PR bond for the traffic infraction but he won’t get out because he’s being held on something else in 14A. I hope that makes sense

    Is there a reason the prosecutor's office was not there? It seemed like the Judge was not happy at the situation. If I understand the charges and charging history correctly, that office should have earned the victim's ire, not the judge, who is constrained by the legislature in his sentencing decisions.

    • @vickimaccallum
      @vickimaccallum หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would love to be able to give you an answer.. but I don’t think there is a good one. I was shocked that the charges can’t be changed by a judge but I’m not from the US

    • @beckasmith6725
      @beckasmith6725 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@vickimaccallum Our judges can't change the charges. They can sometimes deny a plea deal, and only within the boundaries of the charges brought by the prosecutor or agreed to by defense and prosecution in a plea do they have some discretion in sentencing, within legislative guidelines. My comment was about the prosecutor's absence.

Do the sovcits without employment get SS disability or unemployment 💵? Just things I wonder about🧐

    That whole situation is so sad. I don't know how a state thinks a poor single mom who's struggling at a return can possibly take care of children without being able to drive. There ought to be some kind of a "You're allowed to drive solely for the purposes of transporting your children or doing doctor's visits or what have you" kind of provision.

      The problem with that line of thinking is that it prioritizes the offender over the communities right to safety, which includes all the other mothers with children. Quite frankly obtaining and maintaining a drivers license is not onerous, and when they are revoked there’s a reason for it. As a mother she has the responsibility for how her actions impact the welfare of her children. If this was a matter of mere economics negatively impacting the welfare of the children it would be an entirely different conversation.
