If you don't know the degree or level of loyalty you can expect, you haven't done your homework and shouldn't be in that relationship. Loyalty is found in a disciplined character. Filipinas should have high expectations of foreigners. If they wanted to live a humble bare bones lifestyle, they could be with a local attractive young Filipino. A man who is 20 or 30 years old older has to be able to give the Filipina a lifestyle she wouldn’t otherwise have with a young local guy.

This happen all over the world, it's just that with the disparity in economy it's often more "in your face" in countries like the Philippines. For my part, if a "friend" tried to worm herself between my girlfriend and me, how could I trust her? She might destroy our relationship because my girfriend would get jealous, but she herself would also be out of the picture. The best "medicine", as with so many other things in a relationship, is to talk about it.

Your expectations are way off the charts. No women even if she is dirt poor wants to be stuck with a poor old man. Next, women are the same the world over. Its evolutionary biology. No money no woman. Its the law of the jungle.

Maybe the Filipina should make sure her partner/husband has no reason to give their attention to a possible rival? They should sometimes look at themselves and how they have changed rather than being jealous or concerned about someone else filling in those gaps you decided are no longer necessary to provide anymore that landed him in the first place. You're absolutely right. A man's job is to provide a stable foundation, for his girlfriend. Guys who constantly complain about their girlfriend being extremely erratic and "bipolar" are either dating ONLY mentally unstable women, or they are refusing to give her the emotional and mental stability for her to feel secure in their partnership. Sometimes that stability is reassuring her, however you need to. And sometimes that stability is telling her to stop overreacting, and to just trust in the foundation you've established.
