I observed apiary workers stocking the market with berries 😮
Yea gatherer workers can *sometimes* stock supplies from other gathering buildings, however as I'm sure you have noticed it is not even remotely close to being consistent or efficient.
If you have a rich hunting grounds you should get a tannery instantly and save up leathers they made me almsot 1000 coins in like 6 months in early game
Definitely a great strategy, although this video is just showcasing the benefits of Fishing Ponds specifically.
@@kovilgaming yeah true I haven’t been lucky to get a fishing ponds yet also I have a question so is there a faster way to build influence so you can start claiming lands in earlier stages of the game???
@@nolandaigle7375 Gotcha, yea the ponds aren't always there unfortunately. Yes so for building Influence quickly, the best way to get it quick is to put the settings on max raider camps and with the earliest raid on your town. The raiders give influence points for defeating them, but you have to be really fast to beat the Baron to the early camps within the first month or 2 if you really want to get that extra boost of influence early on. If u do the same road setup but a little larger on the base and for the left (not to the right, like the video), u can make 2 families working with more space for crops

i have difficulty unassigning the family how do i know where they are working and unassign that soecific family?
In each housing plot, you can click on the tab to see the residents and then there are buttons for each family which will show you where they are assigned to work. There is also another button there to re-assign them to a different job.

So the first function takes "extra" animals, so those I have in a pen, separate from my sheep farm?
It can pull from any Sheep or Lamb that you have in your Town (regardless of if they are in a Pen or Sheep Farm or at the Livestock Trading Post). At the Butcher's Shop you set how many Sheep / Lamb you want to use for Butchering under the 'Advanced' Tab. The numbers that you set for 'Reserve' for the Sheep / Lamb will set how many leftover Livestock you want to leave untouched for your Town, and then they will Butcher the remaining amount (if you have any more than the number that you set). Hopefully that helps, lmk if you have any other questions!
You should add some information about how many sheep you should have for butchers to be effective. I have 1k sheep rn and 4 butchers and can not keep up production for the life of me.
@@mattnykamp2861 I mean, I don't think there's any 1 answer to this. Everyone sets up their Towns differently, has different rich resources available, etc. It sounds like in your case you could use all of your Livestock for heavy trade of Wool / Yarn, or you could add more Butcher's Shops to produce more Meat / Sausages if you need more Food Production for your Town.
But there should only be a few different results though. Sheep aren't impacted by being a rich deposit. The only thing that would impact the rate is the town perk that impacts butchers. And there is a cap on how many lambs naturally happen (60ish). So if you get 60 lambs a year you can expect long term to get 60 sheep's worth of meat a year. How much is that? I'm just saying I had a town of 300 with 1000 sheep and 4 butchers on a rich hunting grounds and never had any meat at all.
I have 3 duplex butcher house and don't produce almost anything despite having 100+ meat. On other city, just one small butcher got me 300+ sausages in a year. What could be wrong with my first city?
So, what is the advantage for stalls ? Shouldn't you just cancel all stalls and just let granary/storage families sort out the market ? Why allow multiple stalls ? Confused new playwr here 😅
As your town gets bigger, having multiple market stalls for the same thing (for example having multiple Food Stalls) can be helpful just to make sure that you always have coverage for the fulfillment demands on all of your houses. But yea, really you just need to make sure that you have at least one stall for each requirement (Food, Clothing, Fuel). You could just keep your stalls at a minimum and then if you start to notice they are having a hard time keeping it stocked, just add another. And I definitely think just having your granary / storage building workers run the Stalls instead of the gathering workers is the best way, as I was showcasing in this video. Hopefully that helps answer your question, lmk if you have any others!
Put your food and fuel stalls right next door to their granary or storehouse. Limit upgraded granaries to two families and upgraded storehouses to 3. Upgraded granaries only get 4 carts, upgraded storehouse gets 6. Your granary and storehouse workers who be much much more efficient
@@JonCaliber45 thanks 😊 this is invaluable data. I was even thinking of going so far as to have apiaries next to the market and have them manage the stalls. Then leave the granary workers free to go around and collect the goods. Seems to me that it is inefficient to have granary workers work the stalls when they are so efficient at collecting the far flung veggies and apples. 🤔

As far as I know, the residents of the burgage plot with the veggie gardens should automatically harvest the veggies if they are fully grown at certain times of year. It's good to keep the families free from other work tasks so that they can focus on getting the veggie farming done. Also, you can build the Housing Extension so that more families live in the Burgage Plot with the Veggie Garden and then they will have more workers (because only the residents of the Burgage Plot can work at their Veggie Garden)

@@hyazintraaber6557 No, the Chickens produce a low rate of Eggs, and it is not affected by the size of the plot or anything else. You need a lot of Chicken Burgage Plot Extensions in order to supply a decent sized Town with Eggs. Only the Apple Orchards and the Veggie Gardens will scale up with the plot size.

Does ground fertility affect the yield? I am still having trouble supplying veggies to my town
As far as I understand, burgage plot extensions are not affected by ground fertility. Lmk if there's any other ways I can help you figure it out!

How do you solve the vegatble garden not being harvested?
Well they only harvest them a certain time of year, but if they're not doing it automatically I don't think there's a way to force them to harvest the veggie plot. Maybe you could try assigning / de-assigning the residents to different jobs to try to get them to refresh their internal task list. Other than that, not sure.

You don't need to unassigned them from regular tasks. What I realized is that usually 1 person of the family does whatever they have assigned and the the other 2 work the veggies, then rotate
That is not always the case, it depends on the job. The most ideal setup is having the Veggie Plot residents work at a "useless" job such as a Gravedigger at a Corpse Pit.

Interesting strat, thanks for posting it. I caught a guy on twitch yesterday and it seems he must have seen this video because he was trying something similar but he was new to the game, so I helped him to get a more solid foundation to his settlements. English was not his first language either, so I am guessing he missed a few of the finer points. Your strat brings a whole new meaning to the phrase 'heading them off at the pass', since you pretty much stymied that B*stard Baron from the start. And I recall when the game came out, people were saying 'the more bandit camps you have, the better' (easier the game is) and you proved that point without doubt, Thanks again for taking the time to put this together,.
Thanks so much for the feedback, that is great to hear! It's true that the bandit camps are a bit of a double edged sword, very powerful if you are fast enough and able leverage them to your advantage. Otherwise ofc the Baron will quickly swoop in. Let me know if you have any suggestions on other challenge runs, guides, etc. to make or try out!
@@kovilgaming One other thing I meant to mention, I was surprised that you don't assign a number to your troops, makes it so much easier to send them around, select one and hold down control and press a number key. As for challenges, I like to get enough weapons in my second town to be able to create the 6 militia there if that is where the raiders are heading, and when there are four regions left to conquer, I go for one after another without stopping. The beauty of the game for me is that you can take your time if you want to, which I do, let him claim the other 7 then let the battles commence :) Ciao for now,
@@baf_mcnab3065 I actually did not know that you could assign hotkey numbers to your troops - thank you for the tip!! I'll definitely use that in the future. I hear you, that is definitely the beauty of Manor Lords. You can enjoy the game at a slow pace and take in the immersive aesthetics, or you can really min/max and micro-manage everything (or a mix of both). I'm looking forward to the new updates dropping, and will be making more videos for Manor Lords!

Multiplayer? I don't think that's anything they plan on adding. In the Discord they have a bot that auto-responds to anyone asking about multiplayer that says "Not anytime soon, if at all - please stop asking." - So I wouldn't get my hopes up unfortunately lol xD
I remember when they said it was definitely on the cards before launch. Shame, lame. Ive got mates that would grab it when it does... Which is now "if" Hope they can handle it and asap. Great game

Won’t the warehouse and granary workers be overworked?
Transporting & stocking are the only real tasks that storage workers have. If they are having trouble keeping the stalls stocked because your town is getting larger and producing more resources, you can assign more families to the storage buildings. And if you already have the Stall covered, you can turn off the Stall creating option when adding new workers to the storage building so they will only focus on transporting goods.

@@JonCaliber45 I just had an idea... what if you could somehow fanagle the granary to have the first to family's servicing no stalls, and then assign the remaining families to a stall. That way the families with the carts don't have to service stalls, but the remaining families have access to all the food types. 🤔
@@JonCaliber45 or you could have a granary solely dedicated to stalls. They are the only one with stalls but limit their workplace to the marketplace only. I believe they will take the food from the other granaries and stock the stalls... theoretically...

Would this work with the storagehouse
Similar concept for managing your Storehouse, yes. It's more efficient to have them run the Firewood stall versus the Firewood Cutter, for example. The problem with the Storehouse is that it's likely also supplying crafting buildings and your trading post as well, so it's harder to keep it close to everything. Placing a couple different Storehouses to cover more areas can help with this though.
@@kovilgaming would you suggest having a dedicated storehouse for firewood and charcoal with one family tasked to just stock that stall and do nothing else? 🤔
@@JasonPaulToms Hey, yea that's definitely a good option. Especially if your Town is getting bigger. If you have the available work-force and space, I would put the 1 dedicated storehouse close to the market for stocking of Firewood, and then have other storehouses placed near other production buildings / trading post with the settings for which goods to accept adjusted accordingly. This would be the most efficient for the workers moving supplies around. Side note: whichever Storehouses you do build, make sure to upgrade them because then they gain extra hand carts that become available for the workers to use.

They will go get other food sources for the stall no matter where they work.
Fair - I guess the way I explained it wasn't necessarily correct in that sense, but what I mean is that this isn't part of their regular tasks at a gatherer workplace and it will drastically cut into their productivity rather than having Storage workers do all of the transporting & stocking more effectively & efficiently (since all goods need to physically be moved in this game). Especially if you place the granary storage in close proximity to the Marketplace as shown at the end.

love the military controls. still a bit buggy but so much more usable
100%, it was such a pain before to try to find each company's rally flag or barracks to control them
@@kovilgaming also i accedently duble klicked the flags in the bottom screen and that made me go to the actual unit, super useful as we lack a minimap
