I really like this one but the stock trigger is remarkably heavy. I swapped out the trigger return spring and it’s like a dream come true. Hammer still drops just as hard from the stock mainspring, but the lighter return spring improves the pull like a 300 dollar trigger job for only 15 bucks.

66-8 is a top of the line mechanical evolutionary engineering change of the K frame to remedy the forcing cone issue. Previous classic guns were cut flat at the 6 o'clock position creating the weak spot that with modern +P and Magnum loads would split after extensive round counts. The 2 piece barrel has a full 360 degree circumference. The 686, as wonderful as it is is just a bigger gun, but retains all the elegance of the earlier 66s. My holy grail gun to find would be a 3" 66 no dash or -1 with recessed chambers, but the 2.75, -8, is just fine, now if only S&W would reconfigure the cylinder. All the best.

I got mine today! It is the most beautiful, tactical and rugged watch I’ve ever owned! The theme for this color way according to G-Shock China, the watch has the title of “Rift Valley Mud King” and is inspired by the Grand Canyon.

if you bring it along, YOU SHOULD HAVE A BAG PROTECTOR , to protect from dirty soiled surfaces on plane and everywhere, also have another liner to protect from inside abrasion

did you preserve with box and bag for storage. , better consider army green

When I was a kid my grandfather would make wax bullets for his revolvers so us boys could target practice in the alley behind his house in the north end of Kansas city, to this day outta all the auto loaders I own I often carry a wheel gun, usually a model 15-3 combat masterpiece stoked with FBI load or a J frame, Im debating on a Glock 30 gen 5 or that 66 smith.

Keep the rubber grips.I bought one of the first run guns. Did have to send it back because they sent them out with uncut forcing cones bit corrected and returned. Mine has handled well over 2k full house 357s and and untold numbers of 38 special, the timing, carry up, yoke, and end shake are basically unchanged. This gun is a great 357 carry option for almost anyone, unless you live in an area with a lot of rouge police that roam in packs of 4 or more where you need higher capacity to defend yourself from them and make citizens arrests.

Been wanting this but i already have a 340pd so i figure i might get the regular 640 so i can consistently train on the gutter sights, idk the pro is so nice
