    Good examples of French influence in English are the words for meat: the nobles can afford to eat the meat, while the ordinary people/peasants only take care of the animal. Meat / animal: Pork (French: porc) / pig Beef (French: boeuf) / cow Mutton (French: mouton) / sheep

    The interesting thing is that the difference between "Purchase" and "buy" is the same of "acquistare" and "comprare" in italiano language but nowadays the Italian languages is dramatically changing so the Italians tend to use "comprare" only using it for everything.

    Hi! Can I ask a question? Today I listened to the song"At My Worst".The phrase "until the very end" in the song made me think about the use of "very".I learnt Very can be used as an Adverb as in ;very good,sing very well .In the above phrase of the song,, is Very used as an emphasis or something else? Here are some guidelines on how to use the word "very" with examples: The word "very" is an adverb that is used to modify an adjective or another adverb to intensify or emphasize its meaning. It is one of the most common intensifying adverbs in the English language. Examples of using "very" with adjectives: - The cake was very delicious. - She was very tired after the long hike. - The weather was very sunny today. - The book was a very interesting read. - The painting is a very beautiful work of art. Examples of using "very" with other adverbs: - She ran very quickly to catch the bus. - He studied very diligently for the exam. - The musician played the violin very skillfully. - The students listened to the lecture very attentively. - The runners completed the marathon very rapidly. Some additional tips on using "very": - "Very" should be placed directly before the word it is modifying (adjective or adverb). - Avoid overusing "very" - it's best used selectively to emphasize important points. Too much "very" can make writing sound repetitive. - Consider using other intensifying adverbs like "extremely", "incredibly", "remarkably", etc. to provide variety. - Don't use "very" with words that already express a high degree, like "fantastic", "terrific", "enormous", etc. In those cases, the "very" is unnecessary. The key is to use "very" thoughtfully to add emphasis and description to your writing. Start with these examples as a guide, and experiment with how "very" can enhance your language.

      @learnenglishwithnanncy 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@boriskarloff4727 Certainly! Here's a breakdown of the differences between "each" and "every" with examples: **"Each":** - "Each" is used to refer to individual members or parts of a group. - It emphasizes the individuality or separateness of the items being discussed. - Examples: - Each student in the class received a new textbook. - I need to water each plant in the garden. - Each apple in the basket is ripe and ready to eat. **"Every":** - "Every" is used to refer to the entirety of a group or a collection of things. - It emphasizes the totality or completeness of the items being discussed. - Examples: - Every student in the class must attend the field trip. - I water every plant in the garden every day. - Every apple in the basket was grown locally. In summary, "each" emphasizes the individual members of a group, while "every" emphasizes the group as a whole. The choice between the two depends on the specific context and the perspective the speaker wants to convey.

It's a sudden surge of energy that moves us to action in a more spontaneous way. In summary, motivation comes from an internal drive, while inspiration originates from external sources. In fact real estate sales people use "home" instead of "house" as a way to subtly psychologically manipulate people into buying it. Is the land around the house pleasant? Then you aren't buying just a house with some land around it, but you're buying a home for your yet to be conceived family and pets in your own parcel of paradise!
