"A Man and a Woman" from 110 in the Shade the musical - bass clarinet stand cam
มุมมอง 3321 วันที่ผ่านมา
My first time on bass clarinet. Wish I had a more established setup, but I made do. Lyrics File: A man and a woman Can be so close together That they almost become like one. They promise to love till life is done. A man and a woman Can be part of each other, But somehow it is very strange. The thing that you love the most Can change. Hard times come And when they do, You don’t mean what you say...

I know I'm angling it like a clarinet but you have to understand that I didn't feel like printing it out and I had to shrink the PDF to avoid page turns. So yeah basically I can barely see.

This is for educational purposes to demonstrate how one might approach scoring a particular scene. This is actually an assignment I did a little while back that I am just now uploading.

BRO YOU LOOK SO DIFFERENT
Go Teddy go!
Can you send a link for the sheet music?
What program is this?
Out of curiosity, what is that instrument? Bassoon?
Bass-Oon
The algorithim graced me with this wonderful video. This is incredible playing. Incase I am never gifted with another, I wish you good luck on your violining endeavors. Know that somebody is rooting for you.
🙏
What is the piece called ?
Just labeled "The Hunt". I could double check
Where can i find the score for this piece?
How does one do it tho
Voicing
really sounds like some sound effects in sci-fi space movies
Very Star Trek
This is a fake video, what you did here is very rude and stupid. Frank Celata plays absolutely wonderful!!
This is so rude! Frank played fantabulous! This is a fake video by putting another sound and editing badly.
isn't dr m gonna be worried about your embouchure
Teddy Dunn, I've come to thank you for your microtonal music playlist, it was fantastic and I'll surely listen to the whole thing multiple times. It does seem like a couple car-related videos found their way onto the tail end though. :)
Great to hear it! Most of the artists on that playlist have made other microtonal pieces, so I encourage you to check them out depending on what styles of music you're interested in. In fact, the list was originally intended to act as a sort of hub for exploring how people use microtonality in different styles of music (I generally tried to pick one piece I really liked from each artist). Personally, as someone with a bias towards pop/rock, I've found myself listening to Brendan Byrnes a lot. And I removed the car videos, so thanks for letting me know :)
Yep! Part of me re-listening is so that I can take the time to go find peoples' bandcamps and such as I go. I've been away from xenharmonic stuff for about a decade after quitting facebook, and it looks like some people who were listenable a decade ago have become amazing now! (This is the same person on a work account)
Je l ovo trebalo da bude nekom smešno!?? Je l ovo neki humor za idijote!???
ha ha ha ha ha.......busting a gut laughing....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ummmmm. For me, No, and a thousand times no.
That's ok lol
if only saxophone had enough range to make it higher
Ever heard of Altissimo?
We can play like a triple C
@@FatherYogurtFR
It does he's just playing lower
uh… what?
Dunno 🤷
tuned
Sounds like my 2002 Jeep Liberty!

Gergiev is a scumbag. I'm glad I made so many videos making fun of him.
Very funny

I like clarinet better
The resonance of Just Intonation intervals managed to shatter all the bones in my body, I was a pile of mush until I listened to this masterpiece. The 432Hz managed to heal every single bone in my body and even solved my financial issues and booked me a ticket to Disneyland. I also now have a third eyeball and I'm not sure how that got there but it's pretty cool. I can't believe people can believe in something like Just Intonation or alternate tuning systems, It's all bunch of pseudoscience. This is the real deal and I'm actually ascending to the cosmos as we speak. Also, for the best results, listen to this with the volume as high as possible.
IF YOU FEEL PAIN THAT MEANS IT"S WORKING, THE RINGING SHOULD LAST FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS AFTER STOPPING THE VIDEO< NO MORE THAN 30 THOUGH< IT"LL HEAL TOO MUCH THEN
I’ve done this before on clarinet and bari sax. This is an overtone glissando. You take the note and use your lips to “gliss” or slide across the overtones and you can bend it in anyway you want. It’s harder on bari because it is such a big instrument
It's not quite the same. The harmonic series produces a clear pitch because all the frequencies are integer multiples of the lowest pitch. In this growl, the pitch spectrum doesn't line up neatly like that.
This is the greatest song ever written.
lol
Men
those dynamics at the end were so prestine and musical <3 <3
Not really sure what the point of this is, are you jealous? Do you struggle to make a decent tone quality so make yourself feel better by putting another player down? We can't tell, but it's all a bit unnecessary really.
What's wrong with the tone quality here? I thought Frank Celata produced an absolutely magnificent timbre in this video.
@@teddydunn3513 comparing to yours yes
Teddy I found your videos a while back and you know I was high for the first time in several years and this was the funniest thing I’ve ever witnessed. I wish I could meet you you changed my life forever
That's good to hear lol, although I'm kinda surprised that anyone would think these videos are "the funniest thing they've ever witnessed".
this is such composer bait
How come?
@@teddydunn3513 teasing composers with these sexy sounds, we'll all be putting it in our pieces 😂
Bro I haven’t laughed this hard in a while
13 likes, just too perfect to change anything :/
lol
Sounds very cohesive.
At least until I get halfway through. There are some technical issues with trying to play this on the clarinet, so at some point in the future I'll have to think of a better way to present this (using a synth sound or something).
@@teddydunn3513 I think it's really great that you've realised it with a real instrument, as opposed to a synthesised sound; anyone can retune an instrumental sound digitally, but to play it live expands the performance practice of microtonality towards ever more accessible ends. For that matter, how did you approach the clarinet playing? Did you use alternative fingerings?
@@PiersHudsonComposer Yeah alternative fingerings. Unfortunately, I can't access all the notes I need to using alternate fingerings.
Lol
With cancer
So lovely and beautiful!
Thank you
😂👌
😂😂😂
Interesting, I love this.
I make that sound by accident on my clarinet so much
It took me a while to figure out how to play it consistently. Your tongue has to be in just the right position.
Sorry, but this is a really stupid, insulting post. It's a mockery, not funny and has not place on youtube.
I'm sorry you feel that way.
