EP9 The Round 2 Story
I'm trying an experiment to hopefully answer a lot of questions I've been seeing come up in the modelling community. Please be patient with my learning process as I figured out how best to do videos! 😅

Awesome kits and parts 😊, and like Edward said 😊❤ 🍻🍺🇦🇺😎✌👍🤝🇺🇸🤗
Interesting video.
I've never even thought about this before. For 1/25, my stash is so small that it's easy: Ford/Lincoln 50% Buick 14% (although one kit is minus the roof) Rail dragsters 14% Chevrolet 7% (Corvette, technically not a Chevrolet) Pontiac 7% Dodge 7% AMT 64% Revell 29% Monogram 7% Total 14 My builds are traditional rods and customs from the late '50s to the mid '60s. Most have major parts from different kits. For example, here's a Moebius '61 Pontiac with a '63 Riviera roof (from the '65 Riv but I'm calling it a '63): th-cam.com/video/6PIuJsb8vWc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=BMjbV325xYQiGJBz . It might be interesting to compare stats of built kits to stash kits but I wouldn't know how to classify most of mine. For example, a three-wheeled '49 Ford with a mid-mounted Toronado engine.
I'd count it as the base kit you started with, but YMMV. 😅
how bout some new stuff next yr instead of the same ole reissues like some 70s impalas caddys caprices stuff like that some 80s buicks as well.....
Cool history
Thank you for breaking it down in an understandable way. I was aware of all the brands and roughly where they came from but not all the changes. Great job!
Brilliant! Should be a must watch for those who want to know how we got to the point we are today.
Great video Chris! I love this stuff!
Thanks, Matthew!
Very informative still hopeful for another model car genealogy with Luka cee
Glad you liked it. Episodes with Luka are in production!
Nice vid and well done research and presentation!
Thanks!
Great seeing you back on the TH-cams. Interesting video.
Wow , the way I'm understanding there's a program or software you can organize your stash? That's why General Motors wins for me because that's what I grew up around 😅😅 When I first started building. My plan was to build replicas of family members cars. But the TH-cam community has so many other interesting things to keep you busy 😅😅 Great video, great answer thanks for taking the time out to do the video, be safe on the road. New subber here
Thanks! I have my stash inventoried in Scalemates so I can keep track of what I have. Also because of how I have things stored I can put what shelf things are on, too.
@chrmar ahh gotcha 👍🏿 So you don't have to be wondering what's in-stock. You have a warehouse format set up . I may look into that , I like for things to be organized. Right now I have my stash separate by make and model Truck and suvs
I used to have things mostly organized, but then I had to pack out for renos. Packing back in I got all shelves that allow for double stacking and they were stocked by whichever box I grabbed next so...no organization currently! 😅
Very nice will look nice when built just have fun modeling and do it your way👍👍
What about the
What about the interior
At this time the conversions are only for the exterior. And I think the Chevy II based cars only ever used the Chevrolet components anyway. The Chevelle based Beaumonts did use a Pontiac dash, though.
First time this Nova looks good!
🤣
very cool
Very happy to have my Stash more centralized/organized this past year, but that does not include cataloging. Cataloging is a can of worms I have avoided. It would be a sticky wicket to be sure. Still shrink wrapped? Duh! It counts. Opened, but probably complete?🤷♂️ Something that is a parts kit at this point?🤷♂️ Would I have the gumption to restart a kit I felt I messed up on when I started it sometime ago? I am currently finishing up a "Zombie", but I think some of my Zombies are too far decayed to crawl out of their cardboard graves. I had a question for YOU. What about an Ex-Monogram tooling in a Revell branded box? Also, maybe I wasn't listening, but I did not hear you mention MPC. No MPC kits? I have more of the same type of question, but I'll leave it there for now.
MPC was #4 😁
Great looking parts, I Actually made a 1968 Acadian out of the Revell '69 C.O.P.O Nova and the Model Car Garage '68-'69 Detail set, they also have the 1970-'72 set, both have the different Acadian emblems on them . I'm certainly going to be buying everything that is brought out that has to do with the Canadian Pontiac's , So I've seen quite a few here where I live in Michigan. Great looking car's in my opinion!
nicely put together video, i am defiantly waiting for the 68/69 Beaumont stuff to finish the development stage.
What happened to the days when we had one kit on the go and one kit in waiting?
Life....gets in the way 🙃
Didn't work out %, but I have 32 Chevy Monte Carlos.....all Nascar. 42 Ferraris in various types and scales. 13 Dodge Chargers of the '71-'74 body style (all but 3 are Nascar) 12 Grand Prix, and 10 Buick Regal (all Nascar) 24 Moebius Ford trucks in various years (yeah....might have a problem! LOL) 17 Lambos in various types 19 Porsches in various types (20 if you include the Porsche tractor!)
I totally included the tractors... 🤭
LOL math is confusing. Great answer buddy!!
Nah, math and I are buddies from way back. 😅
great deal on the chevelle
Enjoyed the video Chris!
Nice haul.
Nice swap meet and some awesome stash adds bud
New subscriber here Chris........those are some cool pieces man........looking forward to seeing more of your videos
Cool! I had no idea you are into Sci Fi/Star Trek. Excited to see one of these built now that the darkness of "Build Season" (aka Winter) is upon us. I have been getting a lot more building done with the short days.
I've been a lifelong Star Trek fan and have many kits in inventory. Another reason for the re-branding here is so that I can share them...! 😁
Vents on the front fenders where in different locations from 66 to 67
That's right, good eye!
nice Arcadian conversion
I really enjoyed the History of GM's Canadian Cars. So these cars were built in the U.S., and imported into Canada? If they were U.S. built, the production schedule/documentation would be interesting. Were they built alongside their U.S. counterparts, a separate production run? So many questions!
These were built at the plant in Oshawa, ON. GM only had one powertrain facility in Canada as well, which is why Pontiacs only had Chevrolet engines.
@chrmar but Tonawanda is soo close, just not in Canada. Same for the Windsor Plant for Ford.
Awesome 3D Resin Printed parts, cool conversion idea 💡 😎 👍
Cool to see you posting videos again 😊 we are new Subscribers #238, I have this kit in my stash, its a cool kit 😎 nice mailcall Chris, Cheers 🍻 KC Cradle Mountain 🏔 Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺 🦘🪃 🏔 🍻🍻
Great job dude!! I have one of those kits, I might need to pick this stuff up!
Absolutely! I guarantee an Acadian or two roamed the streets of NH 'back in the day' 😁
Nice Job, Chris. Those are beautiful pieces. I may have to get one of these kits.
You don't be disappointed! 👍
Great looking build. I like the mock up on the Blazer. Ilike how you showed the mods you did. Never bought the wrecker kit. Thanks for sharing
Cool kits these despite there simplicity . I'm doing a wrecker version at the moment , Also have a hotrod issue and the mach formula 1 boat issue . Good vid and cool builds cheers
Green with envy over that Ranchero. Luke warm about its subject matter, but the fact that they are gone, never to come back, greatly increases the desire to have one. In assessing what I DO have, I am grateful for the Trumpeter '60 Pontiac I did pickup back in the day. I had a roof transplant planned due to some accuracy issues. But I am going to keep it simple, keeping it box stock to increase its chances of it making it to the shelf SOMEDAY!😂
Some great adds. Thanks for the comments on the kits. Let's me know what's there.
Great stash ads. Nice info on the VW. Thanks for sharing
cool kits.
That looks very real!
Spoiler alert: he made the deadline, and the finished model is a beauty!
Dude, that thing looks amazing!
Nicely done.
That looks Great!! Congrats my Pal!
Damn !! Great job
Oooooo, nice!!
Nice build! Looks fantastic.
