Seems like a logical next bullet point. Do you feel your message is biased and is your message strictly for women who have been cheated on by their spouses? If a wife has an affair, is that not a Sin in your view? Do you think this article is sending a balanced message to men and women or is it just women who are the victims? What are your thoughts on wives cheating, or even a wife’s unrepentant abuse by providing a sexless marriage with no reciprocation of affection?

Lashing out in anger and wanting to shame the affair partner is totally understandable but does nothing to help. It may provide a momentary feeling of relief, but it doesn’t last. Then the pain floods in again. For me, I’ve never regretted taking the high road. But I always regret when I stoop to letting the lower emotions of bitterness, resentment, revenge, and even hatred determine my words and actions. Jesus did not condemn or shame the adulterous woman, not even a little bit. It sounds nice when there’s no affair partner that participated in shattering your whole world. Then it becomes a completely different Bible story. His love, mercy and counsel to go her way and sin no more packs a lot of healing wisdom. Also, I’ve learned that most affair partners were misled and they usually are broken in some way like the cheater is, and like the marriage was. Broken people do broken things. And betrayed spouses sooner or later begin recognizing that the solid marriage they thought they had actually had some issues they had been sweeping under the proverbial rug. Coming to truths for ourselves and each other is so, so hard…but it is truly healing. I hope this might help someone. 100% no judgment here…just sharing. Wishing you all the best out there. I decided not to. My husband’s AP is dreadful with a history of scandal so this means nothing to her. It would only take my integrity and besides, my husband chose to pursue this so he’s the one at fault.
