when they played this song live in my city, man i really felt my dad there. he passed away a little over a year ago and this song has been on repeat since, it felt like in the year, everything ive dealt with, got cheated on by my long term girlfriend i intended to marry, having to live on my own and navigate the adult world on my own for the first time, i felt at peace and felt my dads warm embrace even though he isn't here anymore.
