I've found entirely abandoned rod and reel setups laying on hiking paths, grimy from being a few days in the weather. I regularly find good paddlebait and worm hooks, some of them the really good, corrosion resistant, sharp ones. Unrelated to fishing, but there was also one time i accidentally discovered a geocache while retrieving a lure while bankfishing, and got to add a lure and my name to the booklet inside.

One thing I do that can make your bait last longer is to not hook the bait use a thin piece of heat shrink on the bait and run the hook under the shrink you can use surgical tubing or o-rings and even rubber bands. Some times I will screw a small spring with a loop on the top in the bait and hook the spring this allows you to have the hook parallel or perpendicular to the bait.

Had my rods in the car after a bike ride. Didn't want to go home quite yet, saw a small retention pond about 20' diameter ( essentially a puddle) and said Why Not. Caught a LMB on the very first cast. It was tiny but it still counts as 1! I relocated it to a larger creek nearby because I'm sure that shallow retention pond would have dried up by September.

Doing this next time I’m out. My poor senko got destroyed today 😂

I can't remember a single time I missed a hook set on a regularTexas rig in The last 40 years. This is unnecessary. And it ruins the worm. Ends up sliding down the hook when you cast. Please stop posting things you don't know much about

I love googan squad stuff! they tear up about the same as anything else I feel like, I absolutely love their crankbaits and topwaters their absolute fire! Also their rods are some of my favorite, I use the 7’ medium heavy “Go-To” rod legit every single day and I catch a ton of tanks on this rod with no issues; plus the hate makes it fun lol
