    The Kline moisture meter seems all over the place. I think you'll get a more accurate reading measuring over just split or cut. I find if something has been split for even a day gives an artificially low number. I bought the Stihl meter. No idea how accurate it is as I haven't anything to compare it to.

      Yeah I think they were both all over the place. The Stihl one looks reasonably priced, not sure I need three though! :)

    Mate how do i get a inner cassette on a ebike hub it came without threaded theres gotta be a fly wheel cassette wheel etc

    • @ToolBoxTassie_1979
      @ToolBoxTassie_1979 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@whitefeatherslinger8194 cassettes on an ebike should be the same as non ebike. They are generally built differently to handle the extra torque. Unless you are talking about an internal geared hub?

      @@ToolBoxTassie_1979 no its just the axle on the ebike is solid no hole inside and it doesn't come out of the wheel ,so when i buy a stack of cogs lets say can i apply them onto the axle ? Im sure theres probs other parts but im just lookin gears on my wheel , usually they come with a solid cog stack that threads into the side of the wheel but in my case theres no threads except the standard axle threads.every other stack of threads i see on here u pull the axle through the frame and work from there it looks like these single cog stack with a spacer is what i need.,cheers for reply

    The 18V version has a much better stand clamp than my 240V 210mm Ozito Sliding Compound Mitre saw. Damn thing keeps trying to fall off the generic _Ozito_ brand saw stand. Does the 18V sliding mitre saw have any detents when changing the cut angle? Mine doesn't and it drives me nuts trying to set an accurate angle and then get it back square again. It's their only tool I regret buying. Are you using the Ozito supplied blades with those cuts? I put non Ozito blades on my saws and it made a big difference with the cutting. I like Diablo but not the price. 😲 It's a PITA when you buy a tool and a few wees later they bring out the one you actually wanted or a better model. I've had that happen a couple of times now. With hindsight I wish I had gotten the 254mm saw now since the extra reach would have been handy. Don't know how you're off for batteries but Bunnings/Ozito were having a Special on 4 x 4Ah batteries for $129 and there may be some still left. The dimensions on the Bunnings website are those of the packaging and not the actual tool. You could get a metal cutting blade and put that on your drop saw since you have the better sliding one as well. Would be handy if you cut up the extra hard shiny _"wood"_ as well as the organic variety. 😁 *Thank you* for the video. I always watch the Ozito tool reviews because you never know what you can learn so it is appreciated. 👍

      The 18v has subtle 5deg detents and the 36v has subtle 15deg detents, although they don't seem overly accurate in terms of being spot on the indicators. I'm just using the supplied blades but I understand what you mean. I normally swap them out on my circular saws because the carbide teeth easily sheer off. Neither saw gets a lot of use, so I'll do that once they fail. I would have certainly purchased the 254 over the model I ended up with, but whatcha gunna do! I've got a heap of batteries, I run lights, vacuum, sander, heat gun, glue gun, etc etc. I bought a dual charger to try and keep up. That's a great idea about the metal cutting blade. I've got a blade I swap out on my tracksaw that works well, so that could be a better solution than trying to drag out my heavy metal cutting drop saw. Cheers for the comments, I appreciate it!

    Hey mate. I have a .325 chain on my EGO CSX5000. I have one of these ozito sharpeners. Looking for a wheel to suit my chain. What do you recommend?

    • @ToolBoxTassie_1979
      @ToolBoxTassie_1979 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Apparently if you just re-dress just one side of the standard wheel and leave the outside corner square, you can use better use part of the 3.2mm to get a better profile. This way it isn't a half circle, if you get what I mean. Are you familiar with 'Chainsaw Users' (Lance Nichols) channel? He explains it on his videos. Failing that, do what I did and buy a 4.8mm disc from Jono & Johno and have someone machine out the arbor hole so it is 23mm and you're done.

    Contact Dinasaw australia if you want an ABN wheel in those sizes.. A bit dear but will last you ages

      I had a quick look, but it doesn't seem like the outside diameters would suit? It looks like they do 145mm and 125mm. This machine takes 108mm and the Jono & John wheel discs are 105mm, so they fit.

    If that plastic piece you change for hot weather or cold weather is set for cold weather that could be your issue when trying to restart your saw when it's still hot. It can burn up your saw if it's set to cold weather when it's hot weather outside.

      I'd never really considered that because it seems like a gimmick. Its a rubber insert that doesn't either block, or allow air much differently when placed either way, but in saying that, its worth a go! Cheers, appreciate it
