Mean while for the movie bullet that had to detune the charger and put crappy tires on it so it would not grip and gave the Mustang a bigger engine, wider tires and longer gears and it still would lose to the black 383ci charger

The only problem with hybrid technology is tuning the battery charging to the driving conditions: there needs to be sensitive device (something like the clutch on engine cooling systems) that click "ON" at the right time so that the engine is running at the RPM to keep the engine warm (hot) enough for complete combustion of the fuel. I hav worked on two types of diesel electric ships, the first had one injector per cylinder which caused a high carbon residue which had to be scraped off at the prescribed intervals one is isolated the second type which had two injectors per cylinder, the second one is isolated when idling.
