Welcome to my channel! I started this channel because I read all the time, but my friends and family don't read the same books I do :(
I wanted to create a space where I can talk about the books I read and find others who have read them, too!

So gorgeous❤❤❤
You are so gorgeous so pretty❤❤❤❤
I recently read The Pumpkin Spice Cafe and it was definitely a classic cozy romance! Not anything mind blowing and I’ve already forgotten most everything about it, but it has the fall vibes for sure haha. Ooo yay, Beach Read is definitely my favorite Emily Henry! Also loved The Great Alone (set in ALASKA 😂). You may need to sort through that TBR jar, haha… I’ve been wanting to read A Tempest of Tea for a while so I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it if you get to it!
Well now I’m even more excited about my read this month!! I flew through Beach Read. Can’t wait to start the other 2
Wow,Realy nice,keep uploading
I haven’t read either but I do own Blood Scion, so hopefully I can get to it eventually 😂 I’m glad you enjoyed it! I wasn’t sure what to expect from Matt’s book but your review has me intrigued to maybe try it out one day.
I’m happy I randomly decided to get Blood Scion. It was really good! I can’t wait to read the next one. I wasn’t sure what to expect from him either but the audiobook was a really fun time! 😂
I have The Whisper Man & Cackle on my TBR. Now I’m adding Nine Lives.
I was so surprised by Nine Lives! It was really enjoyable!
Nothing but Blackened Teeth is the worst book I’ve ever read! The writing was too pretentious, waaay too many similes, nothing scary ever happens, the characters were horrible…I can literally keep going. Lol! The only good thing about this book is the cover.
It does have an amazing cover! It’s a shame the book itself was so awful 😂
Love the story of you copying the book onto a notebook for your friend to read…Lol! Yesss, I would love to see The Long Walk adapted into film! Yet, at the same time I’m afraid that they won’t do the book justice as it is an all time favorite!
Child logic really is strange! 😂 I think I’ll just continue wishing for a movie adaptation and be happy that they aren’t making one because I really don’t have high hopes 😭
Really enjoyed Sour Candy! It’s short, but man…it packs a punch!
So good! I read it 3 years ago and still think about it sometimes!
Congrats on 100 subscribers! 😀 I loved Ace of Spades, such a good thriller! I want to read her new book too!
Thank you! I’m so excited!! I want to read her new book, too! Hopefully I can get to it sometime soon 🤞🏻
I have Home Is Where the Bodies Are…really want to get to it soon.
I’ve heard mixed reviews but my friends like it, so I have hope! 😂
It’s only the first few In Death books where there is someone connected to her is a suspect or killed. Apparently it was supposed to be a trilogy, but everyone liked the characters and settings and wanted more, so she expanded the cast and the story. I haven’t read past 25 or 30, but up to that point they were getting better and better. (Still fun and easy reads though)
That’s good to know! I may start reading these again. I liked the ones I’d read in the past, just kinda forgot about them and didn’t continue 🤷🏻♀️😂
Yes Ma'am !!!!!
That atmo is destroyed since 1930Lies are detrimental for our souls future .make sure ro be a food servant for the homless tell elders its very important for there soul next
I’ve only read Sour Candy by Kealan Patrick Burke & really liked it. I want to read more of his books.
I loved Sour Candy! I’ve also read Blanky by him and liked that one as well.
Have you read any Rex stout or any of the old Tom swift novels . Or any team up books . Like gosht busters meet the teenager mutant Nina turtles.
I don’t think I’ve read any team up books?
@@Jess_U_and_Books u are missing out I got really fun Goshtbusters team up called Goshtbusters 101 everyone answers the call published by IDW that was a fun read and there is a goshtbusters book the 35th anniversary collection that has comics 1 each from for different Goshtbusters teams might want look into requesting those from the library to see if like them .
Just put up my first TBR video it’s linked to event I’m doing R.L. Stine’s heroes and hide outs I did like some modern comics so there are two episodes in the playlist episode 0 & episode 1 . Check them out when have some time .
Love the Jaws shirt! Happy Reading! 😎📚👍
Thank you!
The carnival of death by L.Ron Hubbard. Might be book you’d want to check out I’ve read and liked it .
I love Rosemary’s Baby & I also really enjoyed Nestlings!
They were both so good!!
Just put up some pics of the reprints I have pulp magazines on my community page. And video up showing my Doc savage collection. If you want to see it .
You are slowly convincing me to check out Magnolia Parks!
That's my evil master plan! Hahaha
I’ll ask have you ever read cat who books ? There cozy mysteries . It about a reporter who solves crime with help of his two Siamese cats . If hadn’t read any I’ll recommend my favorite book of the series the cat who came to breakfast. If your like me it you’ll know if like just be reading one book you’ll probably either go forward or back to see how they got there
I don't read many cozy mysteries. I got really into a knitting series and a coffee shop series, but haven't read anything like that in years. I'll looks into those!
Have you ever read any pulp magazine reprints there a company called adventure house presents. That reprints old pulp magazines as they would have bin back in the day I can recommend Captain future. And if like Roman and Greek stories Golden Fleece . And there is a Lone Ranger magazine . As well . And jungle stories
Never heard of them. I do like Greek stories, so I may have to check one out!
I read I comic it’s a one shot called rowdy roddy piper the kilted avenger . In this alternate universe instead of being a pro wrestler roddy piper is a popular talk show host who doubles a crime fighter at night . It’s a fun quick read . Also have you ever read any of the dark shadow novels ?
Nope, never read any of those. That comic sounds fun!
@@Jess_U_and_Books the kilted avenger is fun I mean where else do get see some one fight aliens with a cocoanut .
Have you read the novel once upon a time I fort sumner 1950 by John lemay . It involves a serial killer who fancies him self a skin walker, a man who thinks he’s Billy the kid and a map to a lost canyon of gold . I put photos of this book and the other one in the series on my community page if you want check out, I don’t know if you like westerns or not
I don’t usually read westerns, but I’m open to new things! I’ll have to check it out.
Also if you like project super powers you pick up physical reprints of the finding Yanks comics and the black terrors comics. There two of the main characters in project superpowers and the black terror has own mini series from dynamite comics Also if decided to get into goosebumps horror land it has kinda of MCU style side story at end of books where all kids meet up at horror land an get to interact act with each other .
I’m gonna recommend a comic series published by dynamite comics . Called project super powers . Here’s the basics of the plot : during the end of world war 2 the world mystery men and women vanished. What happened to these brave men and women only a one hero knows the truth the fighting yank guided by the spirt of America must find Pandora’s box if wants fix a past mistake and bring back hope to world that has long forgotten it .
I was doing some book browsing it looks the like the scarlet witch has two new graphic novels coming out when ask a question what if the scarlet witch was raised by the Parker’s with Peter as her bother and another is a scarlet witch Best of collection they haven’t bin release yet.
I've actually never read a Scarlet Witch comic, so I'll have to check those out! My collection is mostly Tales of the New Teen Titans. Raven is my other favorite superhero.
I don’t know if you read any doctor who but I can recommend the target paper back of web of fear . As good read . Also I’ll recommend Nero wolf some buried Caesar by Rex stout and since my bro is doing Christmas in July for reviews right I’ll recommend the cat who turned on and off by Lilian Jackson Braun .
I've read a few Doctor Who books, but I don't think that was one of them. But I love the show! Thanks for all the book recs :)
Do read just novel or comics and manga as well ? Did ever read any of goosebumps books like attack of mutant or deep trouble ?
I read just about everything. Mostly novels, but I do have a comic collection and a lot of different graphic novels. I LOVED Goosebumps as a kid! Haven't read any in a long while, but may pick some up soon. Haha.
Demberween of heard of but summer ween is new to me . If I tried to read in the bathroom it be to crowded my dog is Yuki a lab and thinks he need to protect me a yellow lab . Have you read the mystery novel Elvis has not left the building by J.R Rain ?
Summerween was so much fun! It’s a readathon that happened last week 😁 I don’t have a pup anymore, so I don’t have the share my bathroom space, but sounds like you’d have your hands full! 😂 Haven’t read that book. I’ll have to put it on my list of books I want to read.
@@Jess_U_and_Books we had three we lost Reese he died of old age at 18 . We have Yuki a lab and Kai a husky and sassy sue my grandma’s cat who we inherited who I’m happy to say is healthy and strong she is old but is the Sophia and the house if you get the Golden girls reference. Also I’ll recommend a couple other of Elvis fiction books as people don’t talk about this sub genre A lot . 1. Blue sued clues by Daniel Klein this part of a 4 book series book. 2. Elvis Presley and the adventures of Jon burrows 1960-1964 .
You did great!!
Thank you! I’m really happy with my success and I had so much fun!
Nice
I love salads! 😊
I do, too! I found a great flavor combo with this one 😍
This was fun! I’m not doing Summerween, but am currently reading Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle.
I read that last year! It was so good! I’m excited for his new book.
I am SO EXCITED for Don't Let the Forest In. CG Drews has written some other YA novels, but they're both contemporary. There's A Thousand Perfect Notes and The Boy Who Steals Houses. I enjoyed both of those and can't wait to check out their horror.
I’ll have to check out their other books! I loved the writing 😍
What are the odds! I hate books with movie covers so much that I just posted a video review of a book, that was made into a movie, and I wouldn't show the cover of the book. I wrote the book title and author on cardboard and I showed that along with the Back of the book. And my main reaso besides just hating movie covers, is that the movie stars Tom Hanks and I didn't want comments about him or the movie. Is that selfish of me? Also, I want to form my own visualization of the characters in the book on my own. In my own head. I don't want to visualize an actor as I read the characters part. So what's the odds of me seeing your video. Booktube is amazing! -James
That’s so funny!! 😆 happy to see I’m not the only person who hates movie covers!
I’m the same…I don’t like books with movie covers. Nice big haul!!
I hate movie covers so much! But I really want to read that book 😂 I’m quite excited by my finds!
I haven’t read Daisy Haites yet so I’m excited to hear your thoughts on that one! I’ve had the the Lisa Jewell and Wrong Place, Wrong Time in my radar so I’m hoping they’re both hits for you☺️
I’m almost done with Daisy Haites. Can’t wait to talk about it! I’m pretty excited about the books on my TBR this month. My biggest problem has been picking which one to read next 😂
None of This is True is one of my favorite thrillers I’ve read in the past year!! Very intrigued by Darling Girls and Fantasticland. Hope you have a great reading month 😊
I’m even more excited about None of This Is True, now! I started FantasticLand this afternoon and I’m already obsessed 😂
@@Jess_U_and_Books hope you love it too!! Oh nice, haha good to hear! 😊
Ahhh Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom are two of my favorite books I’ve read so far this year, so good!! Definitely recommend reading Crooked Kingdom 😍
I’m determined to read Crooked Kingdom this year! Just need to read Six of Crows again first 😂
@@Jess_U_and_Books do it!! Definitely not a bad situation, to have to re-read Six of Crows 😂❤️
I have Blood Over Bright Haven on my radar and your thoughts have me even more intruigued!
I’m pretty sure Emily Fox (here on TH-cam) said it was one of her favorite books last year. It was so good!! Just also infuriating at the same time 😂😂
I've read Magnolia Parks recently and even though it was toxic, I couldn't stop reading it! I gave it a 4⭐in the end due to the repetitive back and forth, but the writing itself was easy to devour.
OMG, SO TOXIC!! But I definitely fell in love with the setting and the characters and can’t wait to read the rest 🤦🏻♀️😳😂
I listened to the audiobooks of both Falling & Drowning and they were good! I think the audio made them feel atmospheric & suspenseful. Uh oh about House of Flame and Shadow! I've read the first two Crescent City books but was waiting for the third one to be published in the small paperback edition... but maybe I don't need to bother 😂 Because of the end of Sky & Breath I went and listened to the whole ACOTAR series on audiobook, and I didn't love them... but I do have Libby holds on the TOG audiobooks... maybe I should give up on SJM books 😅
I may have to check out the audiobook for Frowning :) I love ToG (I've only read 4 of them, though), but I haven't ever listened to any of her books on audio. I think SJM is great if you're just getting into romantasy, but maybe not that fabulous if you'd read fantasy for awhile.
@@Jess_U_and_Books ToG might be more my kind of fantasy from what I can tell, so I'll stick with it! I think you are right about SJM books being good for those getting into Fantasy, especially Romance readers. (I'm definitely in the camp of the longtime traditional Fantasy fan ✨😅)
I loved the Outlander tv series! Except like season 4 or 5 where the green screen scenes were crappy 😂 I managed to read the first book, and possibly the second and then fell off the bandwagon. They are definitely a lot of work to stick with them, but the tv series is better.
I'll eventually watch the show, but I can't ever see myself attempting to read the books again! Haha.
I love the shopping with a friend and there are multiple copies so that means a buddy read!! Awesome haul!📚 I like the way you share a bit of what the book is about or the reasons why you got the book or what you liken it to. I enjoyed Station Eleven and then really wanted to read Sea of Tranquility & The Glass Hotel, and did! Hope you and your friend enjoy your buddy reads! Friends that read together stick together... right?! 📚😁
Thanks so much for the compliment! We had such a great time shopping together and hopefully soon we'll be able to start some of our buddy reads!
Beautiful
Hi Jess U , l Hope you are well. visited your TH-cam channel and your video making is very good. Your content ideas are very good. Thank you so much
