I can't wait to use it!!! 🙂 It's good to see you dear!! You've got that glow!!
🙂
I'm so happy you mentioned turmeric for coloring. I'm trying to stick with all natural and organic soaps. I dehydrated orange peel and turned to powder l pan to use with sweet organge EO. Do you run EO's in the fragrance box as you would fragrace oils or just add to your desired sense of smell?i made a cucumber/ mint using peppermint EO and didn't ruin it through the calculation
What is the Super Fat for these? Thank you for sharing the recipe
I just order 1 oz jars. Im kinda thinking all these aluminum tins releasing into the salve before it cools. I order all cold press and organic ingredients. I love me and my family that much😊
@patriciaboatman8423 you could pour it into something else then, even a glass jar!
It would be interesting to see what the pH is on this since most lye soaps are more alkaline (9-10) and shampoo bars are generally more neutral or boarder on acidic(5-6).
P r o m o s m 🎶
It looks like sumack to me....
Better google and compare. It's nettle
Before you put your jar in the pan you need to put a dish towel in the bottle of pan then put your jar in. The heat from pan can blow the bottom out of your jar . Or you can use anything that will take the jar off of the direct heat
I've never done it like that, and so far, no problem, but I could definitely see that happening in my future. Great tip! Thank you!! ❤️
@@oldeworldsoapshoppe your more than welcome, I have had several in my life time blow the bottom and that’s a total mess for sure . Plus you have to throw your produce away due to possible splinters of glass . I have my nettles drying and more tins ordered can hardly wait to get this stocked back up again
Does this call counter light situation ???
Nice video. Where do you get your tins from?
Amazon
Thanks for sharing! 😊👍❤️
You're welcome!
Another great scent!!
I bet those bars smell amazing!! Dragons Blood is now one of my most favorite scents. ☺
Just ordered more!😃
HOW FUN!! ❤😮🎉
Loved this video! Your soap is beautiful. ❤ Love using and purchasing your products!
Thank you so much! 💓
Hi lm Glad see you❤
Hello 😊 I'm glad to see you too, my soapy friend 🧡
Nice work!! Thank you for the recipe!! Would you consider sharing the conditioner with the coconut milk? Thanks!! 💟
Thank you! Yes, definitely.
Is there a way to dry them out without a dehydrator?
I just tie up a bundle of herbs with twine and hang them upside down. Many people put them in a paper bag as an added step. You could also bake on low for about 3 hours. 😊
I just put mine in a paper tray cover with a screen or something. Turn every now and then for a few days outside. Once dry I put in oil for a month shake every day .
@@paulpaul5098 cool, thanks! 😊
Awesome recipe thanks for sharing ❤❤
You're very welcome. If you try it, let me know what you think. It is a harder salve, one that would be very good in summertime when it's hot outside. ❤️
@@oldeworldsoapshoppe yes I will let you know
These are so cute! I love the little bees! Do customers have a preference between the bees and just pouring directly into the tin?
Aren't they cute! Either way really!
I’m going to try this thanks for the recipe ❤❤
Awesome! Blessings!

lol I like * always SNOW on the Lake* for my lye to water adding chant
Lol, that's good! I'll use that!
So glad I seen this, thank you for sharing. I have been making body soaps for years but definitely going to make this to now
You're welcome! That is so awesome! Do you have a favorite you enjoy making?
second comment, be careful when you put a towel on your scale. I think it was touching your countertop and that can throw off your weight. Ask me how I know!!!
Good job! Your recipe is very similar to mine only I include lard in my bars. Love the scent combo, definitely will try that! I feel that shampoo soap bars are a great alternative to store bought shampoo and for syndet bars that some folks make. To each their own. I tell my customers that there are many recipes for shampoo bars, if mine is not right for them, they still have a nice bar of soap and they should try someone else's to find what works for them. Ole Lake Farm in Minnesota
Oh, why steam it? Do you have a video about that?
To get the soda ash off of the top. It also makes it shiny.
@@GodzHarleyGirlStudio exactly this, thank you!
Thanks
Stephanie, where can I buy this soap at?! I absolutely LOVE your soap! Been using it and only your soap for the last 4 years now. Your products are wonderful.
So if you have been using her soap for a long time then you know where to buy it....😊
@@WhispyAcres59 Good morning Acres! I certainly do!! This is my daughter who makes all these wonderful products!!! 🙂 She sends her dad and mom AKA us, lots of goodies for Christmas, my birthday which I just had. etc. but I like to actually buy from her too and she has a brand new place now. I thought YOU might like to know as well! The public! I think it's ETSY now!
From Australia, would love the written recipe please. Great watching you. I’m just starting, I haven’t made anything yet but I’m excited to try making shampoo. If you have other simple shampoo recipes I would love to hear from you please. You make it look easy. Regards Marisa
So if you pour directly into the tin, it will pop out?
I've never tried. I just sell it in the tin or if it's one of mine I'll just take some as needed until gone. It's almost like an extra large lip balm container.
I wish I could be there!!! 🥰😀
Oh wow!! I want to make that too! THANK YOU! 🙂
I'm falling asleep posting this. Finally going to bed!
🎉Beautiful ❣️ soap!! 🧼
Thank you! Thanks for also sharing the recipe! This is the best type of shampoo for your hair!
Rosemary oil and castor is great for hair. I use Jojoba too
If you slowly add the lye to ice cubes, about tablespoons at a time, it will stay paler. It works!!
2 Tablespoons at a time. :)
Thank you for all of your sweet comments and tips!! Happy Thanksgiving!
Excuse me but what you are making is a soap, having a high conditioning does not make it a shampoo, the pH of the body is different from that of the hair, a soap will never reach a pH of 4.5 to 5. Over time that hair will end up damaged and with fragrance
There are many people who love using "shampoo bars." Regarding the word "shampoo, " you're talking about the pharmaceutical word, I'm talking about the actual definition. Some people who have oily hair and get pimples on their scalp enjoy using these because it tames that problem area. Although I don't use this product every day, I use this often and love it. I don't have to have big pharma tell me what is good for me...I can see and feel the effects. Yes, I'm aware of ph. Did you also notice I said that you can condition with an apple cider vinegar rinse? Apple cider vinegar is acidic and has a ph of up to 5. You do you!
I use my soap bars as shampoo I no longer buy bottles shampoo. My hair is healthy it’s soft it’s strong,I tell people they can use these bars for the hair and it’s way better then “shampoo”
If you add the lye in a small amount at a time and stir it won’t turn orange.
…and sit in a sink of cold water or ice…or hold on top of a freezer pad - which is what I do under the extractor fan. Personally, I was startled to see you add not only the clays but more especially the EOs 😮into the lye. Ideally add them at light trace or earlier if you will, at the emulsion stage. The finished product looks great - love your logo 😊
It's very pretty ❤
I love wholesale supplies plus!
Beautiful soap! I've never had an issue with soda ash, and I don't spray my soap with alcohol.
Beautiful soap!! I can't wait till that one is ready for sale! 🙂 I'm loving my new order I just got!! I soaked in the tub tonight with a bath bomb and used the new Autumn Spice. I absolutely LOVE it!!
This soap is BEAUTIFUL and smells so good too!! I just received my new order in the mail! I absolutely love all of it, THANKS SO MUCH Stephanie!! 🙂😍
Great recipe, where did you get that cutter?

Hi lm long time waiting for your video l like watching your videos, Thank you!!!Ukraine
BEAUTIFUL!!! ♥
OH I CAN JUST SMELL IT!! Appreciate you making this. Don't stop. This is the best soap!! 😊
48 hrs and its safe ? im always told 4 weeks, shampoo bar different from regular soap bar??
Hi! Nice to have you here. When starting out it can be kind of confusing for you. Let me explain! Yes, you want to wait at least 4 weeks to sell your soap- that is to let all the water evaporate and for your bar to harden. If you sell it after 3 days, it'll be a bummer for the person buying it because it'll still be soft because there's still water in it, and it'll melt down really fast. There are some soap making science books you should look into getting that explain a lot about saponification, the chemical reaction of it all, water content and evaporation, and much more.
It takes six weeks to cure cold process soap.
@@tinkerbell2939 cure is debatable. if your using old fashion wood ash lye then sure 4 to 6 weeks to be safe. Ive come to the conclusion now after making hundreds of cold process soap loafs/bars now that its ready to be used/safe to use after 3 days. the PH is between 8-10 after 2-3 days using regular lye beads you can get from lowes. Yes if you wait 30 days it will be a harder bar but ive tested using it at 3 days and using it at 30 days and you get about the same usage out of it. my bars get 25-28 uses/showers wether its 3 or 30 days so for me and my business ill be taking advantage of that.
