Markee Ledge, the creator of Kosheen, started his musical journey writing songs on guitar, then buying a sampler in 1991, moving to Bristol and into music production.
In 1993 he started Ruffneck Ting with DJ Dazee, Markee then hooked up with Decoder forming Decoder and Substance, on his Breakbeat Culture Imprint, the label which launched DJ Fresh and his next project Kosheen. 5 Album's followed.
Following the widely acclaimed 'Elevate' Markee's 2nd Album promises a selection of guest vocalists, Alys Be, Susie Ledge, and Jodie Elms, also features guest producers like Seven, dubspeeka and Rinse FM’s DJ Youngsta, whose fresh take on underground music has added inspiration to the project.
Markee’s 'Concentrate' album continues the ‘Elevate’ vibe with big vocal fronted tracks, however he’s placed a greater emphasis on cutting edge, instrumental productions productions to satisfy the current UK underground music scene’s desire for deeper sounds.
