Dim Sum is not the same anymore. Use to be a weekend get together with friends and family. Now it's only for the holidays.
Yeah, used to go all the time with my parents on the weekends with my parent's. Dim sum carts being pushed around is the best, now that is rarely done anymore. You either have to order off of a check off sheet of paper or scan a bar code and order off of your phone. Lame!
@bubbalo3388 or select it off the rotating belt of dim sum. Was at a fancy dim sum eatery in NYC. It was good till I saw the bill. One time no more
@@tfoen7678 I went to this one restraunt in San Francisco and they not only charged me for tea, they charged like a dollar per person for water also. We were like. 😡 We recently went to this one place we wanted to try and when we sat down and looked at the menu we were like 😳😬. Everything was $8.50 on up. We ended up ordering only 2 dim sum dishes and a rice dish. Needless to say we aren't going back there again.
Dim sum is way too expensive now. It's like $2.50 a bite. Plus like $2.00 a person for tea. My family averages like about $30 a person give or take.
agree. Or more depending on the location. NYC dim sum is so different than Cali dim sum and so different than Chi-twn and Canada dim sum.
