I'm a Landlord. Best suggestion that works for me. In the lease set up monthly bug spraying. This way you can get in every room. Let the tenant know they will have to leave the property for 30 min. or more due to fumes. Let them know no dirty dishes, laundry on the floor, etc. before spraying. This will eliminate hoarding...

I'd get pretty annoyed with that honestly. I do see the other side though, protect yourself from this stuff. As silly as this sounds, a factor in me moving out of my rental and buying a house right now is my landlord coming in and inspecting something. She is totally in her right and she's improving the property so no complaints. It just reminds me that I don't have control over the place where I live (duh I'm renting, I get it) so I'm buying my next. Is that was monthly, I wouldn't have been here 3 years, that's for sure.
