I cannot stand people like this... if you're sober, possess a valid license, registration and insurance, and have nothing to hide, then why act like that..? Just like everyone else, all you had to do was follow their most simple orders and you could have gone home. Ok I understand how check points are annoying and you might not like them but supposedly they are for the sake of the people, but seriously if I want to drive drunk as long as I'm not to drunk to drive and cause an accident why do they care? A little bit of alcohol isn't gonna hurt anyone, only when you get plastered dose anyone get killed. The serious issues in the US are them taking away our guns though.

The Supreme Court is above the laws and if they decide something constitutional for the people's sake and to protect people then it is not illegal especially since they are trying to stop drunks from running people down and causing deaths in accidents.

Brandon Long, research facts before you speak. The state of Michigan ruled these stops unconstitutional and it was overturned by the US supreme court on a state by state basis. The Supreme court justified their decision by saying public safety trumped the constitution. DUI checkpoints are illegal in many states, my state of New Hampshire in fact. An officer is supposed to have reasonable suspicion or probable cause to stop you, being next in line is not probable cause. You want to live in a Police state? Do u even understand the term Police state?

Well you're in it you might as well go all the way... Just keep fighting it and make the courts "re-interpret" the law. The law initially said they can make brief contact to check sobriety but now they are trying to use it to check licenses and to do free air sniffs. Don't plea and try to change the laws back!!!

You should probably know what you're talking about before you play lawyer. The Supreme Court ruled on this and you were completely in the wrong. They didn't supersede the constitution, they interpreted it.

Unless you avoided the checkpoint with a legal traffic maneuver it is too late. If you proceeded forward to the point that you could no longer make a legal turn to avoid the checkpoint you have to go through. Sucks but that is the way it is.
