We got tired of not being able to grab sunlight with our solar blanket because of a 5 metre lead. So we extended it with making our own 12 metre lead. Combined it's 17/18 metres. Now we're not so concerned when camped under trees. We take the solar blanket to the sun!

Nearly a year onward and many different locations and campsite destinations under our belt, I thought it was high time to show our 4x4 and canopy build. Took awhile to get used to where things were so that it became second nature. And yes, there are some things I would do different if we do it again but overall, it's worked a treat and we are more than happy with it. Our big bog: th-cam.com/vid...

The rust on these trailers comes at no additional charge and does show within less than 12 months due to the poor preparation before painting. I know this as I purchased one brand new in 2019. I'd disagree with the comments regarding not the manufacturers fault. It is all their fault!!! Furthermore, try and get new canvas! Apparently they don't sell replacement awnings, tropical roof or main tent! I've had dealings with these guys for several years and I have know idea how they have a 4 + star rating. I'm a retired tradie who took great pride in my work. These guy pretend to know their product at best.

Simple, Robust products made for enjoying the outdoors. And they've weathered the ups and downs of manufacturing (especially given being in Australia). Very inspiring. I particularly enjoyed this because Luke didn't sound like he was presenting - just answering naturally. Some real gems there whilst peaking behind the curtain. Cheers.

The brown lizard looks like a land mullet. The rock with the hole in it looks like the sort of thing desert Aboriginals use for collecting water. A small rock is placed over the hole, in a way that allows water to drip into the hole. This usually works at night, as the air cools and water condenses on the rock. The Bluff and Wild Bull are great places. We've cleaned up other spots nearby, to the tune of a couple of bin bags full. We called Parks and Wildlife, who got on the job to remove the rest, pretty quickly.

I have done quite a bit of solo bush walking & fishing in remote locations over the last 50 years or so. When I was younger, I didn't consider 1st aid much, but some close calls brought me to the following conclusion. At minimum, carry on your person at all times, 2 elastic bandages & a PLB. This will have you minimally covered for handling a venomous snake bite. It is no good having 1st aid back in your car at the campsite. Any 1st aid that is out of reach is the same as no 1st aid at all. Also, you cannot rely on a mobile phone or CB, especially not in a gully. You cannot rely on your own car, because getting to it and driving it is going to pump venom around your body, undoing all 1st aid efforts. The patient must remain calm & still. The only sure way to get your patient & medical aid to coincide is a PLB, without it your 1st aid strategy has already failed.
