this is great! in my local hobby shops, scx24's esc is equivalent to a price of hobbywing 1060 + receiver. i'd also decided to go to this route just in case ny scx24 electronics died. apart from having a slow and nice modulation, a waterproof esc is also a nice feature
6 hours into my new deadbolt and no issues whatsoever. Servo seems fine so far? Just greased my transmission with marine grease 👍🏼 Gonna run stock until stuff starts breaking
my servo took a dumb over the weekend. 3rd battery through her. Horizon is sending me another one under warranty.
@@kavik526town2 That’s awesome that they’re going to warranty that! I’ve heard lots of good things about Axial’s customer service. Since making this comment I’ve upgraded my servo to the NSDRC RS800. Absolutely insane upgrade 💯
@@HappyValleyCrawlers I will try that when this one takes a dump. Yeah warranty is awesome. No way it should have taken a dump this early so I’m glad they honored it.

Get the Rock Pirates RC rear,front shock towers and body post mounts and battery tray. Get Element shocks and do the pen spring mod up front. Buy better beadlock wheels injora work fine and run proline dual stage Foams in the rear and run club5 weighted foams up. This will make that axial ii perform a lot better.

What did you do with your stock esc?
Hi, do you think it would be ok to use the 1080 but also use a Flysky receiver ? I would prefer to use my Flysky transmitter as I have a spare receiver and 1080 ESC.
I used the fsgt5 and the fsgt3b with this set up work great

My dad has the same RC, & has beaten' it up (you could see it on my channel). Haha Now, he has a newer body that is currently getting painted to put on the TRX4 chassis!

Are those weights just glued to the top of the servo? Cool little build, seen a couple people use that Injora frame. Any crawling footage?

Ok I understand you want to change out the axle in the Danchee. The only MOA axels I know of that may work are the claudbuster axels from Tamiya . I found a set a set on eBay for about 60.00.

Finally found the video that answers my questions! Love the idea of the hobbywing 1080 but didn't know if it can work in the Atlas 6x6 1/18 mini crawler with stock motor & battery. Cheers for uploading this!

So still green to the receiver/esc thingy. Any videos showing how you rig up your crawler is appreciated!

With a bit of hacking and stuff you can put the 1080 between the rails and lower COG a lot. I ran a 1060 like that for a while until I got a furitek.

And 3 brother are about to release a direct bolt on brushless motor and esc combo for this truck I’m excited for this to happen
@@HonestRC I only have an image I took of my first hack attempt, from there I ended up dropping it a bit further but didn't document - if you change the way the hood locks and the shocks mount you can do quite a bit of "stuffing". I went back to a more traditional set up with the furitek though, still running brushed on my main scx24.
@@HonestRC I pre-ordered the furitek full brushless kit with a 2204 motor, but I see someone using an 1108 which fits in stock position - might try that as well.

Did not make a video on a servo it was part of what I did to it tho
and also i had it laying around
Try an all metal axle assembly might have to do a lil custom fab but they're sold from $20-$150 on the usual sites

Hi, just got myself a danchee today and was wondering how those plastic links are holding up with a stronger servo bc what I’ve heard is that you need to have metal links with the stronger servo.
Steering links are very weak but easy to beef up

Can the standard esc run 3s without issues?
I ran 3s on stock esc for awhile but it went out on me

What are the recommended parts to upgrade to better quality parts? How durable is the lion hexfly battery and charger? 
I’m not a huge fan of the hexfly line up but does not mean someone else won’t like it

I y'all hey have one of these for better then a year. I'm trying to find upgraded tires could you tell me all the info on those and what size they are? I don't know how to measure them if they're 2.2 is a 1.9 thank you
you need to buy 2.2 tires if you have the stock rims.
