Thank you for the beautiful gathering. I have tried to join in on more than one first Sunday but unfortunately have had other obligations so I am grateful to have the opportunity to view and participate here on my own time. Many blessing to each of you.

Patty McGrath - thank you for all you do. Would you have any contact or information for Netti Garner?

A bodhisattva knows there will never be a last person to cross over as he helps with infinite eternal patience and love. Nor was there ever a first person to cross over. There is no crossing and no one crossing. Brings to mind the haiku: There never was a bodhi tree nor a mirror shining bright. If no one thing exists where can dust alight?

I wanted to give you an up vote, but youtube kept reverting it out. You seem to be a victim of yt censorship, means you are discussing something VERY important. PLANETIZE - Don't Globalize.

We have to change our frame of reference on WHERE we are. Our primary spatial referent is that we are ON Mother Earth more significantly than we are "in" nation states" and the geo-political paradigm at present. Nation States are conceptual overlays that we place over Mother Earth. They are consensually agreed upon IDEAS, ideological overlays we place over landmasses. They are transient over centuries and millennia, Only Mother Earth endures and exists in actuality.

I so appreciated this 'economic' perspective on the challenges of kinship. Thank you!

Me again.....WHAT you are or become is not WHO you are...WHAT you are is temparey, it can be changed . Your name , profession, religion, culture, etc..are all temparey and can be changed..WHO you are cannot change . It is permanently you... whoam I amyou. That is who you are ,we are one.

Who am I am you...who am I ? I am you. We are one...bound and connected by emotions. Emotions are identical in every human on earth. With the ability to develop empathy, we create love unconditionally and purpose. Nature is our teacher. Nature is unconditional..thats how i see life , in a nutshell.....

Love your neighbors. someone said it a while back. Still seems like a good idea. Thank You Brian. I think you will recall me singing in class UCS/Naropa 2000. "Your Molecular Structure" by Mose Allison. You LOL-ed big time. " Your cellular organization is really something choice. Electro-magnetism's 'bout to make me lose my voice."

I'm a newcomer to the idea of noosphere. Listening to this conversation gave me many aha and goosebumps moments. My biggest aha is the idea of the future creating our present moments. I immediately resonated with this and thankfully can't stop thinking about it. I've long followed and been enriched by Matthew Fox's sharings. Brian Schwim is definitely a new source for me. Also the question answer portion of this conversation is delightful and expands my universe. Thank you All Elwyn Behnke

DESCRIPTION: No one needs convincing that “Creation is in Crisis”. Even those with no understanding of the unstoppable nature of biospheric and civilizational collapse feel the stress. Just to read or watch (the propaganda formerly known as) “the news” these days is a sobering (or un-sobering!) experience. How do we cope? How can we stay inspired? And perhaps most importantly, how can we be a blessing to others who are confused, angry, depressed, or filled with fear, guilt, blame, regret, or grief? SUBJECTS COVERED... 1. How and why biospheric and civilizational collapse is "unstoppable" 2. Three definitions of "doom" and three definitions of "post-doom" 3. The nature of "denial" and "adaptive inattention" 4. A visually rich look at human history through an ecological lens 5. The common pattern of 80+ civilizations rise and fall, progress/regress 6. Why and how ecological overshoot (not climate) is our main predicament 7. Why and how technology, the market, and "progress" always create ecocide 8. Why anthropocentric civilizations so reliably destroy their habitat and self-destruct 9. The nature of "hopium" and why it is so psychologically and socially harmful 10. Four (Deadly Accurate) Metaphors 11. The ecocidal delusion of "the Almighty We" 12. What it is NOT too late for 13. What it most certainly IS too late for 14. Why and how grief is so important, indeed vital MORE ALONG THESE LINES: postdoom.com/resources/ ACCEPTING/COPING/ADAPTING TO COLLAPSE: postdoom.com/discussions/
