Shoji is a perfect depiction of how some dudes are like in his world. For instance horrible communication. If he lost feelings, right off the bat he should have just came clean with his feelings rather than cheating. Infidelity is never fucking justified. Like just come clean and move on because it saves time and avoids feeling betrayed for the other person. Like it pisses me off that he had the audacity to cheat even after Hachi went independent because that’s what HE wanted and negotiated the relationship with her while they were still in school together.

the only thing i really disliked was nana asking hachi to fight for shoji..... like no i think it was so much better than hachi said she didn't want him anymore. i was always worried about hachi and her own self worth, but in this scene she proved she still valued herself enough to not go back to shoji

This entire arc pissed me off. People, INCLUDING JUNKO HACHI’S SUPPOSED BEST FRIEND, blamed her for being cheated on. Blaming the victim?! Even though Shoji told her to be more independent? Also Sachiko crying and acting like she’s the victim… disgusting. I wish Nana punched her.

I for sure take the side of nana but i won't say that shoji is the clear criminal here Shoji was loyal to her for years and was waiting for her to come tokyo If he wanted to cheat on her then he would've multiple time cheated on her in those years It's just that after coming to tokyo nana got busy in accomplishing her ideal life with shoji And couldn't maintain constant contact with him She left him midway once , mostly reached him when she needed his help , she was mostly busy in her jobs and in recruiting nana's band members But shoji wasn't right either he wanted nana to become independent It was only natural for her to be busy in accomplishing that Damn i'm sounding so hypocrite rn But ngl this betrayal is not as one sided as a lot of ppl think If I have to blame someone entirely here then i'll go with sachiko That beach knew he had a gf but rather than trying to convince her that it's wrong to cheat in mid relationship she was helping shoji in keeping their relationship secret

As cruel as this may be, this was karma coming back to bite Hachi in the but. I get that the guy she was in a relationship with in high school was a teacher, and she was a minor but she still knew right from wrong. She also doesn’t have the reasoning sone girls have where they have horrible men like their dads in their lives or are abused or neglected. It is so satisfying to see Sachiko shaking and breathing like that at 2:17 while she was suffering and she was scared, that is the least she deserves for f****🤢W Shoji and doing all those things with him(even she knew that he had a girlfriend) ,she deserved to be in this situation where no one could protect her, like literally to stay in front of the restaurant being disperate and Crying. What really gets me is at the end where Nana said she wasn’t mature enough at the time to forgive his betrayal, but I think it’s the exact opposite. It’s shows maturity to just walk away and wipe your hands clean of that person forever. That takes strength and maturity. There was nothing else she could’ve done. If I’m being honest, if I was Nana I would’ve raged out.
