    I was taught, when I was a wee lass, to wrap my hair in a robe tie/silk scarf and to always wear silk scarves over my hair to bed by my Nana. I still do at 53. My hair is waist length. My hair is always in a simple updo that is pinned with the larger bobby pins. I can’t imagine what my hair would look like without doing these things. I taught our daughters to do the same.

      @@Sorchia56 I absolutely love that! Do you wrap you hair in the same way or do you do a different type of scarf/robe curl? I do simple updos all the time too, with big curved pins so none of my hair is getting pulled! It helps so much ☺️♥️

      @@nusrattamanna7339 sure! I have more pictures in my Hair Highlight on IG (nicolecudzilo) which might help too! But right now my hair is a shag that’s very grown out. So I’d say if you like what it looks like now, you’ll want to ask for layers that are somewhere between short shag layers and long layers. I have a very heavy blunt cut side bang and I’m trying to keep my ends as thick and dense as possible. But the top section and into the middle is pretty texturized to add more lift ♥️

    You can get good collagen from making your own soup stock from chicken bones and skin. Put a whole chicken (minus the livers--the heart is okay) in with several stalks of celery, a whole head of garlic (you can leave it whole, with the husk on, and just notch the cloves with a knife so their essence releases slowly into the stock) and three or four whole black peppercorns. Put just enough water in to cover everything, no more. Simmer on low not less than three hours, and no more than five. Strain the stock and let it cool to room temp, then put it in the fridge overnight. The fat will all rise to the top and solidify; skim and toss that, and you will have the BEST chicken-y, comfort-food stock for soup or as a base for sauces or a butter replacement for baked potatoes. You can start with roasted chicken leftover bones and meat for an even better flavour, or use the same recipe with turkey bones. (Don't use beef bones for this; they are more complicated, and have a very strong, unpleasant taste if they aren't handled a certain way. That having been said, it's well worth learning to make a good beef stock). The more you get your nutrition from home-made, real food instead of over-processed pre-packaged nonsense, the better. The boxed soup stocks are a joke: they're salted water with 1% protein, and a random glob of fat--never bother with them. Cheers!❤

    My mother's night-time protective routine was to, like you, loosely braid her hair; but she did it with the braid coming from the top of her head; and instead of elastic or plastic clips, she rag-rolled the ends up in either silk or cotton. In the morning, the ends would be smooth, and if her hair had been rolled up damp, it would have a good curl.😊

    • @nicolecudzilo
      @nicolecudzilo หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@princessaxel hi! I’m so glad that you enjoyed it! I wash my hair usually every 3 days because I feel like that’s when it’s asking to be washed. I can stretch it to a week if occasions call for it, but if I know I want to do that, I’ll put in my powdered dry shampoo as soon as my hair is completely dry (kind of to stop the oil before it starts). I don’t think it would be healthy for me to do this all the time, but if my hair is styled especially pretty, I will totally try to make it last for a week haha. I wouldn’t say my hair gets super oily but I do use more of a clarifying shampoo because it would get oily in a day if I used a ‘gentle cleansing’ one. And for the split ends, yes! When I spot one I just take that single strand and cut a little bit above it, basically keeping all of the length possible but making sure the break is gone so it doesn’t split further up my hair! And I do straight across because I’m cutting single strands versus a chunk of hair ☺️

    beautiful. what is your reason for mixing nars sheer glow and mufe face and body? I have mufe face and body but sometimes wish I had just a bit more coverage but still look natural and not cakey does this mixture do that for you?

      Try the mufe matte velvet foundation and a liquid highlighter by becca mixed together (oily skin)(I like to use the hourglass mineral veil primer and the mufe mattifying primer mixed together with this- but I think most silicone based primers would be okay) or too faced born this way & the primer she's talking about (dry skin). That's what I have been using for a while and it works great (I have combo skin- so some days im oily and some days im dry). I hope this helps or you find something better for you:)

      +MiBellaAlma Hi there, unfortunately it is a no-name brand off amazon but the Make Up For Ever fan brush is super similar.
