wish I went with a full size like yours now that I did a 5.3L v8 swap, modded frame, suspension, bigger brakes, etc, vs my pop top one. Much more room!
Sounds like an awesome rig! I looked at a few four wheel fleets and a hawk… they are pretty cool. You got any pictures? Would love to check it out on insta @yoterhome_
@YoterHome im learning, I just got a gopro, a macbook, and upgraded my phone at costco for christmas hahaha. Trying to also figure out which social media is best to get on. That I will actually use. I always watch youtube, so trying to learn editing so I can also contribute haha
Im jealous
Thanks man!!
Sick!
Thanks 🤙
awesome!!!Man that thing is clean. What the weight of the camper?
Thanks! I’m stoked for sure! The Six Pac owners manual says it’s 950lbs.. I will shoot a video of getting it weighed once it’s dialed in and had all my gear inside. My trucks payload is about 1550lbs.. I added heavy duty leaf pack and Timbrens to support the camper
Can’t wait to see more videos
@@svrepublic6551 heck yeah man! Hope you are doing good! 🤙
Are you going to sell your other camper? Let me know
Sold it to a member of the small truck camper group
What year is that six pac and how much did it cost you?
@@WisdomInTheWoods it’s a 2007 T100S I got a great deal bc of the water damages. I think 2007 is the last year of production for Six Pac but I could be wrong? I think that’s the year they sold the company and became lance
Your right they don't break down however if you live in a cold weather area like PA, Ohio , or WV that has a winter then your frame WILL NOT LAST I bought two so far a 1998 that rusted and they did the right thing and bought it back and now my 09 that is a rusted POS just the frame and the frame only that was undercoated day one and garage kept and never taken off road has left a bad taste on Toyotas for me since this time they refuse to back their product and have no care if your in an accident due to the rusted frame that was obviously built out of cheap steel since it's the only rusted part on a less than 15 year old truck So i agree great trucks if you live in a desert area otherwise you'd be smarter to stay away from these trucks
Oh man, that’s a bummer about the rust! Living here in Cali we don’t have those issues, thankfully.
Awesome job! Thorough tour & interesting insights too. I love the opaque glass on those cabinet doors. What type of glass is it? How would you describe it & where did you find it?
Thank you! The glass doors came with the camper they are a green color and have many bumps and grooves in the glass. They were pretty much the only thing I kept from the original camper.
prayers for you and your family, hope fire does not progress , I also live on fire zone and I know the feeling. Cheers Bro
Thanks man, it seems like the fires are not yet contained and the wind is still very strong.
Golly. Sorry. Super nice Scout 👍
Thank you
@@YoterHomeyes, please for the love of god save the scout. 😅
Haha Scout runs like a champ!
If you have some ground stakes hammer them in the ground and use your tie downs to secure the camper to them. It should work. Or some heavy duty rachet straps.
@@JohnMurray-j7u great idea! Thank you. Unfortunately half of the spot is paved but that got me thinking I can rachet strap it to something heavy like my truck tire on the paved side thanks again
did they put the fires out?
I think so, they said we should know more in the morning and expect a lot of home to be destroyed, unfortunately. Will keep you posted
Way too heavy for that truck unfortunately. Probably well over GVWR once loaded with gear and supplies
thank you, yeah "the T100S was made for the mini trucks like Ford Ranger, Toyota Tacoma and Chevy S-10" per the manufacturer. But I will take it to a weight station as soon as I replace my dead shocks and my progressive leaf with a single leaf add a leaf. I wasn't aware that the progressive leaf I got had a warning stating "will yield a more exaggerated rear end squat under heavy load." such a huge learning curve! will keep you posted
New camper is awesome! Please do a tour…what did you do with the old camper?
Thank you! Sold it to a great guy with a first gen taco. Will do a tour as soon as I figure out my shocks and leafs.
Please keep posting videos this will be a very interesting set up.
@@svrepublic6551 will do!

@@gonzalofigueroa9925 good call! I’m doing my research and will keep you posted for sure
Wao. Men been waiting for your videos for so long. I Am glad you are Ok and look forward for these videos with your new rig.
@@svrepublic6551 nice to hear from you! Thank you, yeah I’m back filming videos with my new rig 🤙
Try Torque or Firestone air bags.
Thank you, good call! I really like the no drill Firestone air bags and might try those after I install the new shocks and a non progressive leaf
Agreed, that's a decent size camper. I think air bags are a great idea! Air em" up when you need em'. Truck still rides good when you don't.
Will keep you updated on the install when I get em 👍
I know most of the weight for the camper is on the rear, but it may be time to look into the front suspension. I had a floor runner from that era and I remember it was very soft in the front.
Good call, I’m looking into new Bilstien 5100 all around. Will keep you posted!
what brand of add a leaf?
Icon 1.5” it’s progressive tho, not single and that could be a mistake
The camper may be too heavy for the truck.
Thank you, yeah we thought maybe that could be the case but upon double checking we found the 2007 Six pac T100S is 950-1150lbs dry per the manufacturer. 2004 Toyota Tacoma payload is 1500lbs. The shocks were from 2004 and the weakest shocks I’ve ever seen LOL will keep you updated!
awesome rigs! you might need a standard single leaf (not progressive)
Thank you, you may be correct as single add a lead is much sturdier and my icon leafs seem to just be for looks LOL oh and def need new shocks, will keep you posted
glad you are ok, keep me updated
Will do, thank you!
Good to see you posting again! I’m considering getting a Bel Air camper… I like watching your videos. You keep things pretty basic with your builds. I can appreciate the simplicity of what you’ve done before with your last interior. Keep us posted!
Thank you for the message! Here’s my two cents about bel air campers/ callen campers, hopefully it helps.. I think a bel air camper could be a great camper for the right person, but for me, there was too many downfalls.. My major complaint about a Belair camper… no jacks. So I wasn’t able to use my truck as a truck when I need it. It was pretty much stuck in camper mode 24/7. Very loose seals around the bed and tailgate so whenever I was on dirt roads a ton of dirt comes inside. Moisture and rain come through as well. Pretty poorly insulated. It was very hot or very cold inside the camper and very hard to maintain a comfortable temp. I think those campers are great for light camping/day trips and for ppl who don’t need a truck to easily be in truck mode. But again, this is just my experience and keep me posted!
That truck and camper look like they are in great shape. I loved some of your older videos of the old camper. Looking forward to seeing some more with this setup. Great job!
Thank you! I got super lucky finding this set up and I can’t wait to take it out on some adventures!
I've been looking for your videos. I like your style.
Thank you! More videos on the way very soon
Seems like all these older campers have mold. Makes me consider buying a new one or insulating one of the pop tops.
One downside of older campers is the high potential for water damages.. but the MAJOR upside is the simple construction. I find them to be more easily repaired. If I can do it, you can for sure do it! Good luck on your camper search and let me know if you have any questions. Also, great truck man! I really dig it
@@YoterHome Thank you man! You have a great setup and building it yourself/repairing it yourself is always the way I have gone too. I am enjoying my small, humble canopy but would one day like to get something like what you have. If you are ever in Oregon and want to meetup to truck camp, let me know!!

Do you hear the gas ? Why don’t you get a lighter to start the stove?? Like the camper. My buddy had one back in the 60’s!’
Thank you, got it figured out. It’s just takes a few clicks to get her started
cliff bars are horrible for any kind of bar protein, taste, recovery, calories… lol
For sure! They are the best!
Are there any "energy bars" that are good? Asking seriously.

Thank you
What was the brand of the camper you renovated?
It’s a 1970’s Six Pac
100% true, i have a 1991 toyota pickup that i built a camper on, its a manual, and i love this truck because of its reliability , its compactness amd gets over 23 mpg on highway if your gentle on it.Good video
Awesome truck! Thanks for sharing!
How much did he charge you?
No charge but I tipped him well. Really fantastic guy.
@@YoterHome that’s amazing
Tour starts at 19 minutes
Thank you!
That's (I'm pretty sure) a Six-Pac 6SLQ... It looks like one I was after last year in Crestline. Very cool! The one I ended up with is a 1972 model ...7... For 7ft bed I guess!? Finding any information on these older small truck campers is like trying to find a single needle, in a whole farm of haystacks. Bless you for saving instead of junking one.
That’s great to know! I’ve been wondering for a long time the model number because the tag is too worn to read. Thank you for sharing! These older campers are very hard to find, congrats on finding yours
late to the party, but, if you decide to close off the cab-facing window, consider doing a sliding window to line up with the sliding window of the cab so that you might use it for climate control, as in a portable AC unit.
Thank you, this is prob the route I will end up taking. I have been looking for a sliding window on marketplace and in the mean time I added an air condition unit to the bed rail.. will post an updated tour video soon.
Hope you are ok dude. I just came to see your video one more time to see if there was new videos. Miss seeing the yotahome. Hope you are well. And hope to see new videos soon.
I’ve been using my yoterhome all the time. Taking it on day trips/hikes in the mountains and to the beach, to work, running errands.. basically daily driving it haha. I did need a break from making videos bc I wanted to just relax and enjoy my rig without the stress of shooting stuff. Plus I went through a phase of thinking I wanted a bigger six pac camper with an overhead bed. But I quickly learned that would be a mistake. I’m ready to start shooting again.. I’ll make an update and upgrade video soon. Thanks for reaching out! Hope you’re doing good.
Hi, I was curious who makes the camper? thanks
It’s a 1974 Six Pac camper.
"I always look angry but I'm not" lol, hilarious
Haha 😂
Max weight on truck best year for fuel saving how about video on fridge water dumping grey water white water dark water set up generation
Those are great ideas, thank you
It’s crazy how spacious it is…it’s like the tardis. There is no way you are cheaper than me 😂
😂
The BS ends and the camper tour begins at 19:10.
Thank you for your kind and helpful comment! Hope you are doing good 🤙
I'm just curious where you have been. I really enjoy your style of video and hope all is well with you.
I’ve been looking at campers. Six pac t100s, travel lite m-700 1260lbs. I got caught up in thinking I wanted something bigger.. but after it’s all said and done any other camper is just too big for me. The bigger sizes bring more stress and less connection to the experience I’m trying to achieve. Not to mention nearly every seller is hiding water damages.. as far as my camper goes, I added air conditioning and some other upgrades, will have to shoot a vid soon thanks for reaching out!
I have also camped a few days in the city downtown Los Angeles.. I didn’t film it bc it was super sketchy and I got harassed a lot. I think ppl were mad thinking I was living in it? Idk. But I’ll discuss on a video soon! Hope your well
I’ve seen a lot of high dollar setups that aren’t even close to as awesome as yours! Simple, it works, and you did it on the cheap…which allows for more trips! Phenomenal. I’m originally from SB, moved up by SLO, but now in Montana & hoping to get my rig going this year. Maybe I’ll see you & the YotaHome on the road! 🤙🏼
Thank you! I’ve been steadily working on it slowly but surely. Will have to do another update video soon. I was lucky enough to drive up to Montana a few months back. Spent a few days in Glacier. Really tempted to move there myself. Good luck with your rig!
